Republican presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Friday that he didn't know and didn't care why his favorability has dropped below zero among Republicans.
Bush's net favorable rating among Republicans was at 27 percent from July 8-21, but has dropped to minus one percent from Dec. 18-Jan. 5, according to the latest Gallup poll.
Bush was asked on Newsmax Now what he thought was the main reason for the sharp decline.
"Hell if I know," Bush replied. "I don’t really care.”
“I’m focused on these early states where my numbers are much better and I’m gonna earn this nomination in a way that will draw people towards our cause,” Bush continued. “And I do sense that people are taking it seriously now. Both in Iowa and New Hampshire people make decisions really late.”
Iowa's caucus is Feb. 1.
