When a section of tiles is suddenly about 1/2 an inch lower than the surrounding area, the tiles are NOT just "wearing out". It means the insulation/padding/whatever is disintegrating from moisture and the boards are rotten also. If not replaced, you can step on a section and fall through the da*n tfloor. Luckily, my casual "who cares how the tiles LOOK?" was ignored, and the entire room is being retiled now. Kinda interesting, it looks like somebody used a jackhammer on it, and dust & dirt reaches about four feet high, I am going to buy the cleaning angel some flowers....................................
