We have work to do within our own ranks and crying fowl does nothing for our cause. Except maybe make us look small and petty.

No election was stolen. No great injustice was done. We lost both with moderate and conservative candidates. Thus our problem is within not without. We have a message and branding problem. No ammount of crying about the election outcome will change that.

I'm not sure who said the election was stolen.

The Republican party suffered a serious blow. But I really don't give a shit about the party. What I do care about is the nation and constitutional government. I am not convinced that either will survive the next four years. If Scalia retires or dies, and Obama appoints another open Bolshevik like Elena Kagan; how far of a stretch would it be for them to declare the bill of rights unconstitutional? This nation is teetering on the edge of an abyss, and I really can't see anything approaching a bright future.

We will either fall into the slow death spiral of nanny state socialism, or there will be civil war. Neither of those appeal to me. The second is very unlikely, so the death spiral is nearly unavoidable. Our children will have less wealth and less opportunity than we did. Their children will have less than they, and on it will go until we reach parity with India or China, with workers earning less than $5,000 a year and living in squalor. We have chosen a sharp turn to the left.

It would be quite a stretch since the High Court cannot amend the Consititution.

But it is funny to watch all you pseudo-cons whine......

That's my point Gramps. What makes you think if you grant amnesty to these 12 million out of compassion that you won't have to do it again in ten years? And what about the American taxpayer who has to foot the bill for all this compassion? What about unemployment? There are reasons conservatives don't favor illegal immigration and I've listed a couple of them. So given your scenario how do you think the liberals will agree to "defend the borders" Have you seen anyone defending the borders lately? So to suggest otherwise is not lunacy it's a fact. obama's idea of defending the borders is to put signs in the desert telling Americans it's not safe to be there.
