I am disappointed in many of my conservative posters...

Maybe not so much the message but how its put forth. The immigration issue is a perfect example.

We scare the Latinos with our hardcore rhetoric and lose the legal portion of their vote despite the fact that it is IMPOSSIBLE to round up and deport them.
What was the message sent to the Ron Paul and Rick Santorum voters, by shutting them out of the convention?

You have a problem with that "communication" thing within your own party.

why do you say it's rhetoric. it seems to be policy. do you think stating the policy in a nicer fashion makes it any more palatable?

We lost an important election. That loss does not require that we all act like a bunch of meniacal partisan jackasses.

We have work to do within our own ranks and crying fowl does nothing for our cause. Except maybe make us look small and petty.

No election was stolen. No great injustice was done. We lost both with moderate and conservative candidates. Thus our problem is within not without. We have a message and branding problem. No ammount of crying about the election outcome will change that.

Just my two cents

Bravo.

Boy, I think of a few folks who aren't gonna like such honesty.

The only time I get partisan is when I am forced to defend one side, or the other, against idiots. I try to avoid that.

Wtf are you talking about....? What "policies"?

You libs are in the business of lying.

That's the GOPs prob.... They are too honest. Libs do not have a conscience and love to lie with a straight face.

I didn't shut anyone out of anything. Take that up with the rnc

We lose because two huge groups that love free shit came out to vote!

Wahoo...We once was the land that promoted success, no more!

This right here is the answer. All the rest is bull shit.

I'm not taking shit up with anyone but you.

You claimed that the RNC has a "communication problem", and I asked you what you thought the message to Santorum and Paul voters was, in dissing and snubbing them at the party convention?

Do you think that says "welcome aboard" or " would love to have your vote this fall"?

Dems get swept out of power: the talking heads spout off about how they're never coming back. Repubs are swept out of power: talking heads spout of about how they're never coming back. Over and over and over and over...... Yet, we're all left holding a giant pile of shit and it becomes larger each time.

Knowing there are actual registered republicans that can see that, gives me high hopes for the viability of the party.

I say rhetoric because that's all it is. Both the left and the right give lip service to the issue of immigration.

I'm not sure who said the election was stolen.

The Republican party suffered a serious blow. But I really don't give a shit about the party. What I do care about is the nation and constitutional government. I am not convinced that either will survive the next four years. If Scalia retires or dies, and Obama appoints another open Bolshevik like Elena Kagan; how far of a stretch would it be for them to declare the bill of rights unconstitutional? This nation is teetering on the edge of an abyss, and I really can't see anything approaching a bright future.

We will either fall into the slow death spiral of nanny state socialism, or there will be civil war. Neither of those appeal to me. The second is very unlikely, so the death spiral is nearly unavoidable. Our children will have less wealth and less opportunity than we did. Their children will have less than they, and on it will go until we reach parity with India or China, with workers earning less than $5,000 a year and living in squalor. We have chosen a sharp turn to the left.

While I get your point we didn't lose for lack of Paul or Rick voters. We lost with women and minorities. Especially the Latinos.

This time is a little different for the right wing.

The demographics do NOT add up anymore, if that does not change the GOP will have a serious problem getting elected in a national election.

That is a precedent, for which no party has seen before (by this measure).

You're lying to yourself.....Look at who stayed home or voted for Johnson.

This is important.

But, I wonder why so many did so (honestly).

Do you think it may have been the far right element of the GOP? (Honest question)
