Hunger Games

A coarsening in our common American culture continues to develop and deepen (forgive the alliteration). Reality shows provide the context in which to observe human suffering while dehumanizing the objects being examined at a distance. This theme of the movie is frightening.

Saw it tonight..my girlfriend was a real fan of the book. It's basically a Conservative Utopia, where a Capital city of entrepreneurs exploits outlying districts and sucks them dry of resources. They keep them suffering and give them only enough to survive on. The districts give tributes in the form of young people to fight in games (Kind of like the Iraq war).

Really hits the nail on the head.

You seriously need help.

I wouldn't read the Hunger Games books, because I don't read fiction...........
So that's why I don't see myself watching a movie about the book........

Some people enjoy horror flicks (not saying HG is horror, just sayin)...watching people get chopped into little pieces with a saw or hatchet and shit........violence.......I don't like that either...but hey, to each his own~
