Yea you know how competition works in the real world and it's made you bitter. You think the world owes you something now that you haven't became a millionaire and you want to take it out on the so-called rich.

I've been working since I was 16. Turned 50 this week. Probably will keep working until I die.

I do have some funny idea that if the efforts of my labor produce $100,000, I should actually see more of that than some joker who bought a stock for a week.

And that's the problem with you guys. YOu see a world where 1% has half the wealth, but they certainly aren't doing 50% of the physical labor. They are gaming the system just as much as the welfare queen who figured out that she could get a section 8 mansion with five kids.

And the sad thing is, I bought into that. I let the Limbaughs of the world point fingers at the abusers on one end while working for the abusers at the other end.

What I don't want to see is this nation turned into another Venezuela, Cuba or North Korea. I don't want to live in a country where we no longer have the freedom to be our own boss if we so desire. I don't want to live in a country where I no longer have the right to choose where, when and how long I will work. I don't want to live in a nation where the government provides everything for me. F**k France and Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea.

I like the idea of living in the land of the free and the home of the brave and it pisses me off that Obama, Pelosi, Reid and JoeB want to change that, even if we are no longer living in such a land thanks to the corrupt individuals of both parties we have put in power.

What you should have a problem with, is earning money and giving it to the government so that they can divvy it up among people sitting on their asses. I would have no problem if we replaced "welfare" with "workfare". You get a check, but you are required to do something useful in exchange.

That was actually the basis of FDR's NRA and CCC.

What I've thought about is -- how do I protect my investments from the pubs? I lost money with the bush crash but have been steadily gaining it back under Obama. If Mittens is elected, we will all lose even more and, since Norquist/Rove would be running the country for the next four years, it would be almost impossible to recoup those loses. If I were younger, maybe it wouldn't matter so much but I'm retired now and dependent on my investments as well as SS.

Hmmm, I thought you had me on ignore, based upon your comment about missing my post from a couple of days ago and the fact that I don't think you've ever commented about something I have said. I am glad to know that you and I can converse occassionally.

Obama is a socialist and he is working to make this nation into a socialistic nation. I don't believe that it will happen to the full extent of taking us all the way to being compared to Cuba, but he is doing his damnedest to move us farther into the grips of governmental control and that is socialism.

Obamacare and his statement about not being able to adopt socialized medicine right away but within 15 to 20 years is proof of what I say.

Nothing you guys say will change that. I can't believe you are not intelligent enough to see it, which only means that you promote it.

How can any red blooded American, such as yourself or JoeB, want to make this nation into a nation where we are slaves to politicians?
