How to sell me on socialism.

You want to get me to support the idea of socialism? Here's how you do it.

The essential idea is that everyone has the same as everyone else, there are no rich and no poor.

1. The rich, like Gates, the Clintons, Warren Buffet, Al Gore, Michael Moore, Cher, Meryl Streep, and also the Koch Brothers, all of them must give up their riches.

2. The government controls the means of production, everyone gets paid the same.

3. The law of the land is that you must work. Unless it is medically impossible for you to do so, you have to have a job. Severe penalties for those who do not. You can and will get fired if you do not work to standards, and severe penalties for that as well.

4. As production and GDP increases, everyone gets raises.

The problem with socialism as Crazy Bernie and Hollywood and the DNC want is that they have no intention of giving up their riches. The rest of us little people will, but they won't. It will fail as it always has.

Bernie is too busy enjoying his new half a million dollar house by the lake and new red sports car to be bothered

Yeah that's my point here. The kind of socialism I described is not the same kind as the likes of Bernie, the Clintons, or Hollywood want. They want the kind where they keep their millions and everyone else ekes out a living under their rule.

Lets just say that every fully developed country on earth is a mixture of socialism and capitalism in a system called social democracy. Dude, you're living in one and you enjoy the fruits of the balance between government regulations and capitalist success.

There's NOT one successful nation that doesn't have it....

You're living in a fantasy land if you think pure capitalism with all its abuses and massive % of poor is better.
What you've always failed to realize Matthew is that you opinion on this matter is irrelevant. Hell - even if what you are saying were proven fact, it still be irrelevant.

The issue is that the U.S. Constitution protects me from the bat-shit crazy communism you left-wingers desire. You are breaking the law every single moment you are engaged in this nonsense.

You have two choices: implement all of it at the state level or amend the U.S. Constitution to make it the legal responsibility of the federal government. Outside of those two options, everything you support is illegal and everything you state is ridiculous.
All of this was pretty much decided with the Bank controversy and later the Marshall Court. General Welfare means what the Court say it means.

So then you would agree that if the Republican-controlled House, Senate, and White House that it is for the "General Welfare" of America to execute anyone with a left-wing ideology, it would not only be 100% constitutional but you would support it as well?

See - if the "general welfare" clause is not restricted to the 18 enumerated powers of the federal government (and the founders made it clear that it was), then the federal government literally has unlimited powers. If they deem it is in the best interest of the "general welfare" to kill all Democrats, they can constitutionally do that. If they deem it is in the best interest of the "general welfare" to rape women to increase the population, they can constitutionally do that. If they deem it is in the best interest of the "general welfare" to deport all latinos regardless of status, they can constitutionally do that.

Do you see how insanely stupid you sound now, regent? So now you either have to agree with this or admit you were wrong. Don't worry....I won't hold my breath for an honest response.

Markets have always experienced booms and busts. It's the nature of markets.
Yes. Like the Crash of '29. How insignificant.

No investment is immune to loss.
In the entire history of U.S. Savings Bonds, have they ever experienced a loss?

Markets usually don't experience huge booms and bust if the are left alone since capitalism is self-correcting. The Great Depression was caused by massive govt interference that enabled the money supply shrink by 34% and prolonged for 16 years by continued libsocialist interference. This is the lesson that enabled Bernanke
(according to Bernanke) to prevent the housing crash from turning into another 16 year depression. That is exactly 2500 milles over Mikey's head!!!

Dear, the social Power delegated is to provide for the general welfare, not the general badfare.

Let me give you a clue since you seem to be woefully lacking:

Socialism will never come about in the manner I've outlined. I'm making a point.

Lol, you don't know the difference between pure socialism and social democracy. lol, lol, lol

I support social democracy! The entire effin first world falls into this category! You are the one that needs to convince me to support your "pure" unregulated blood bath capitalism...

1. I support people getting rich and the riches countries on earth with possibly 80% of the worlds riches people live in social democracies....They sure pay for our roads, clean air, water and food. Why not?

2. lol, once again you're talking about cuban or ussr style socialism....I don't support that! Social democracy relies on regulations, laws and human rights to keep the market in check. Very little of the economy or means of production is ran by the government...20-30% at tops is typically done by the public sector. The vast majority is produced by the private sector.

3. Why? If you're old or disabled you can get ssi or disability....If you're sick or out of work unemployment...Are you really going to support taking this away??? If not then you support social democracy! ;)

4. Well, within social democracies we have minimum wages in which allows a lot of power to the company to make that choice. We could of course limit the amount the top takes and demand more of the wealth go into the hands of the workers making the product.

I agree with you that a cuban or ussr socialist state is nutz...Learn about the system that works in 100% of the first and second world before you make another post. Jezzz.

lol. the US has the best form of socialism in the entire world; the rich can get bailed out and keep their multimillion dollars bonuses while on means tested corporate welfare, and the poor can still have steak and lobster on their EBT cards.

There isn't any difference. That's just something you people make up so as to hide the truth. Socialism has failed every time its tried and so you repackage it to hide from that fact. No one believes you.
