either carry out or delivery?

once a week?
once a month?

if you do, what is it that you normally get (Chinese/Asian food; Pizza etc.)?

We rarely order out, we either eat at the restaurant or cook and eat at home, but, if we do normally we will pick up something from Chick Fil A. We don't do pizza often and never Chinese or Asian food (anymore) - we used to get Shrimp Fried Rice and share it once a week but hubby heard several reports on how clean these places are and now has an aversion to it. So, I'll get General Tso's or Beef w/ Broccoli on my own when he's not around :)

once a week if that.
Me or the wife cook just about every night.

Who's the better cook? :)

Or are you both equal and/or have certain dishes you cook well?

I have NEVER made home made lasagna. I think that will be my next endeavor!

Well, we won't be hearing from you for awhile. Especially if you make the sauce from scratch. Have fun!

I cook better. She has never cooked much. Cooking is a hobby of mine. Like I will go buy shit just to try to make something new. Everyone told me I should have went to culinary school :(
I have made it a few times. Its more time consuming than anything. IMO, the win is with the sauce. I always make homemade sauce.

My key for homemade tomato sauce is red wine and a little olive oil. Just a little bit of olive oil though. I will take the oil and warm it up in a skillet with my garlic. I will cook the garlic till it is almost black(only a minute or two) and then pour it in with the rest of the sauce.
a 1-4 ratio of sausage and hamburger is a good idea too.

DAMN I just thought about using shredded chicken and alfredo sauce instead of hamburger and red sauce.
I might have to try that!
Alfredo is much easier than red lol..
EDIT : And maybe add some small broccoli chunks? :)

TN's definitely on the right track with the sausage/meat ratio in the sauce. Go sparingly on the sauce when you layer it all together, or your lasagna will be too soupy. Also let it stand for half an hour after taking it out of the oven.

Well on that note (and thank you ALL for the suggestions) - I'm headed to fold the laundry and meet my son for lunch.

I'm STARVING!
