How NASA might build its very first warp drive

Thinking ahead --- it might be like that $400 radio controlled Mustang I bought.. So fast -- I lost it in the glare.. Never found it or the wreckage.

So when you push that big red warp button --- do we have a means to track this thing?
Well -- it either vaporized ---- OR ---- it's approaching Alpha Centuri in 22 minutes..

That is what exactly happens, using this sort of technology won't work for Star Ships, as the ship will not even reach the destination, it will crumble away from old age into dust, the occupants onboard the ship will find themselves trapped inside a bubble of space-time where the continuation of time is running incredibly fast and moving slower than an old lady with a walker, the crew runs out of supplies and/or dies of old age, then the ship crumbles away from old age only traveling a short distance until it fails, within a few seconds in normal space-time, it was estimated that several billion years had past in the space in and around the ship.
An important discovery was made, as time continues faster, the molecules move faster relative to normal space, thus an enormous amount of heat can be extracted into normal space to generate power.
As zero-point-energy is almost unusable, using this warp method, zero-point-energy batteries can be constructed, as the time is continuing faster inside the battery housing, the molecules accelerate the outer portion of the battery housing in normal space-time causing it to get very hot, this heat can power steam turbines & whatnot, thus not using any fuel.
Bla bla bla free energy for all right ............ wrong, we buy the fuel, then deduct the expense for tax reasons, then resell the fuel out the back door at inflated price to the Sheeple, works out nicely.

I'm so happy that for ONCE --- someone else steps up to be the science "party pooper".
I so want to be an occasional optimist. the wild-eyed dreamer.. AND NOT have to juggle all those variables and realities.

From my crude understanding of traveling great distances across the Universe, it must be done in the following way:
Your ship or vehicle must exit THIS Universe directly to another Universe that will support OUR laws of physics consisting of normal matter, if the universe you went to consists of anti-matter, the normal matter of your ship & body will attract and collide with the anti-matter and destroy/erase you, so you must choose or create another universe consisting of the same matter or NO matter at all.
Eg.
You take a large file from your FAT32 hard drive and transfer it to another hard drive of NTFS format, as NTFS hard drives are more advanced than FAT32 no information will be lost as NTFS supports long file names and other features.
If you were to transfer a large file from a NTFS hard drive with long file names and other features such as file permissions to a FAT32 hard drive, the file will transfer, but it will not be the same as on the NTFS drive, as file permissions and other features would be lost if you were to transfer that file back to the NTFS hard drive.

Once in the other Universe you must exit directly to OUR Universe to the place and time where & when you wand to be, and you must do this as you stay in ONE piece, as you would not want to reenter at your destination spread out across 7 billion years and 250 light years .......... you would be dead, if this can be done, then yes you could travel the Universe to anywhere quickly, otherwise ............ you must travel the old fashion way ......... moving through normal space & time.

Lets say our astronomers detected & discovered a pre-industrial civilization 100 light years away, due to their inferior technology ............ they are prime targets for domination & exploitation.
We then dispatch a War Ship to their planet at around light speed, the War Ship will arrive about 120 year later, take into account speeding up to light speed then slowing down.
On board the ship the continuation of time will slow down to about 10% or so, on board the ship only about 15 years will pass in a 120 year stretch.
The primitive radio signals detected on earth that were transmitted by the alien world would be 100 years old, so that means our War Ship would arrive 220 years later, in this amount of time, the once detected primitive alien world would have surpassed our War Ship technology, we would be out manned, out gunned, and out smarted, our War Ship would be annihilated ................. this would be bad.
