birth control pills are prescription medication and should be covered like every other prescription medication.

Not sure that's a fair comparison. Birth control pills are available at Planned Parenthood, or at Walmart for $9, and it's not for treating an existing medical condition like Viagra is. And i don't think Viagra violates any religious tenets that I know of, it's not like a church or religious school is ordered to provide that coverage against their beliefs.
