They predicted great things due to the "leveling out of Venezuela's horrible inequality."

One of them - I forget the name - is a Nobel Prize Winning Economist and was HRC's chief economic advisor during her doomed presidential campaign in 2016.

However, what I can say without any doubt..... the absolute poorest people in Venezuela were doing better prior to Chavez, than since. By any possible measure, they were better off then, than now.

There is no such thing as Utopia. I would never claim that Venezuela was perfect at any point in the near, or distant past.

However, what I can say without any doubt..... the absolute poorest people in Venezuela were doing better prior to Chavez, than since. By any possible measure, they were better off then, than now.

The US experienced the hyperinflation like Venezuela in the later 1970's to the early 1980's because of price controls during Vietnam by Nixon..After the war inflation ensued..No, I may also remind you of the Great Depression in the US where capitalism did fail due to many of the same problems that Venezuela is experiencing.
