How bad is the indoctrination that the left is imposing on our youth?

Conspiracy victim thread 10,463. Your parents and friends influence your politics. Not schools. After that is your religion and even gender. Education matter as the smarter you are the more likely you are not to be a victim of right wing grievance politics but no impact from your teachers.

Teaching about national holidays and why the are so isn't political...You moonbats are easily the dumbest people around.
Culture war victimization at its best. Find some grievance you can tie into the military or flag and cry like a bitch about how the country is losing its way. These fucking segments are to distract you from the fact
The victims are the children being taught your self-loathing cultural Marxism...You child abusing degenerate fucksticks are truly devoid of any shame.
What is Marxism? Without googling.

Some of these buffoons don't even know what memorial day represents.

On a scale of 1-10 it is a 10…unfortunately

Is it called “indoctrination” when you disagree with what’s being taught and “education” when you agree? Just want to get the terms straight

It's indoctrination when only one POV is allowed, and it's mercilessly shoved down the throats of children.

Who runs schools? LOCALS.

Anyone taking federal money teaches the federal curriculum, nitwit.

Which of the core curriculums do you think are so messed up that they are victimizing our children?

Math, English, Science, History, Language, PE, Computers, Health?

History and how they teach it. Speaking from what I see with my kids.

Higher Education used to be about teaching HOW to think! Now it's become teaching WHAT to think! Anyone that doesn't grasp the difference never learned how to think!

Do you have any higher education? Falling for wacko conspiracy theories and lies is not a mark of educated people.

It wasn't our youth who stormed the Capitol on Jan 6th.

It was our youth who looted, burned and maimed during the BLM riots this summer.

How many BLM protests were actually violent, Drama Queen?

what is the point of asking "HOW MANY PROTESTS" were "ACTUALLY VIOLENT" ?

Because the numbers I've seen are 3 protests out of 93 protests were violent.

It's indoctrination when only one view point is allowed and those who question that policy are targeted by "educators"!

Ok fair enough. What one sided POV do you think is being taught and not allowed to be questioned?

The locals here on the school board decide the curriculum and the teachers are told to teach it. So any parental grievance goes to the board who are elected in local elections. They also come up with the budget. This year our teachers got a 4 percent raise. We were open 5 days a week the whole year.

Teachers should teach how to think not what to think. A student should have zero idea which way a teacher leans politically. This lesson was free.

Like in all communities and work places we have good apples and we have bad apples. The vast majority of teachers that I know are good people and good educators. In every school there are also those handful of teachers that are a huge pain in the ass. Same thing in work places with coworkers and bosses. It’s called life. Learning how to deal with people like that is not a bad skill for children to have

I have no idea how YOU evaluate quantity of violence

Ok history is a good example. We can definitely have a good debate there. Is that the only subject you think is indoctrinating our children?

Then you would not mind firing 95% of all teachers and professors who try to do nothing more than indoctrinate instead of educating. Then replacing them with right wingers.
Thats a stupid right wing fear. Everywhere lurking in the corner is some scary culture war you are fighting in your head. You need a concealed carry permit... for your spine.
It is fact not fear.

Anti americanism and america is great are two ends of the spectrum that do not belong in the classroom. Let the parents and kids decide on that.

1) Israel is at fault for the turmoil in the Middle East
2) Gender is a social construct and trans girls should be allowed and are allowed to play sports vs girls.
3) White privilege exists
4) We need more equity and more diversity in our workforce.
5) Saying anything positive about Donald Trump is hate speech.

Concrete examples from what my two kids have experienced over the past four years.

Issue is if you’re a bad accountant you get fired. If you’re a bad teacher the Union protects you. False conflation. When your small businesses fail, there is a consequence. When teachers fail there is no consequences. Go and watch Waiting for Superman.

It seems to me that in the last few years the well educated elite have been wrong about almost everything.

Don't play dumb, Slade. You know as well as I do that our schools are overwhelmingly liberal when it comes to the teachers who teach there and the administrators that run the show!

1. Israel is at fault. So are others. Takes two to tango.
2. School promote acceptance and diversity. The sports decision is a good debate which I assume is decided by election officials on the school board. Is that right?
3. Yes white privilege does exists. Obviously something you didn’t know
4. Don’t see why you’d have an assortment with more equity and diversity in our workforce. Why is that controversial?
5. Trump is a divisive and hateful dude but speaking positively of him isn’t hate speech. That’s seems odd that anybody would claim so
