House Democrats ‘Deem’ Faux $1.1 Trillion Budget ‘as Passed’

So you fully support them, even though they're not doing the job they were hired to do?

Were you this loud for 8 years of bush? Seriously, were you?
Were they spending as much as the libs? Well? Were they?

Secondly, did the GOP have a near supermajority like the libs? Yes? No. And they got fucked out of their majority status cause they didn't want to get kicked out of the georgetown cocktail circuit and shared a lot of the leadership roles for the first chunk of W's term, and then had to cede it in the Senate thanks to Jumpin Jim Jeffords. So, really, was it a conservative senate till 2006? No. Not hardly. Only in the House was there any clear majority and that couldn't hold together for shit because of too many damn RINOs in there.

Nothing like no memory to let you sleep at night.

There was conservatism yesterday in the election, and it was to be found on the Democratic side of the aisle.
But conservatism won when it was tried yesterday. Conservatism won fairly big when it was tried
Thomas Sowell put this very well. He said the latest example of "election fraud" is actually what the Democrats did. They nominated a bunch of moderate and conservative Democrats

This is not realignment. As has been the case for decades, American politics continues to be fought between the 40-yard lines. The Europeans fight goal line to goal line, from socialist left to ultra-nationalist right. On the American political spectrum, these extremes are negligible. American elections are fought on much narrower ideological grounds. In this election the Democrats carried the ball from their own 45-yard line to the Republican 45-yard line.

The fact that the Democrats crossed midfield does not make this election a great anti-conservative swing. Republican losses included a massacre of moderate Republicans in the Northeast and Midwest. And Democratic gains included the addition of many conservative Democrats, brilliantly recruited by Rep. Rahm Emanuel with classic Clintonian triangulation. Hence Heath Shuler of North Carolina, antiabortion, pro-gun, anti-tax -- and now a Democratic House member.

The result is that both parties have moved to the right. The Republicans have shed the last vestiges of their centrist past, the Rockefeller Republicans. And the Democrats have widened their tent to bring in a new crop of blue-dog conservatives.

You are missing the point. If they were spending like that and driving up the debt. Then they were not acting conservatively at all.

I'm saying I disagree. I don't listen to talking heads . What I know is that the left took over congress Jan 07. We all know this as fact. And i don't give a shit who says they were left but further right. BS. We are spending more money that we don't have every year, and it is getting worse every year. And there are no talking heads or anyone else who can honestly deny that.

You don't know diddley. There is no Left. The Dems may not be as far to the right as the GOP, but there is no way you can pass off the Dems as the Left!!!

With the special elections in 2008 the Congress moved even farther right.

The GOP Dumps on Conservatives, Then Blames Us for Their Losses

RUSH: This thing down in Mississippi, the special election, regardless of party, conservatives could have voted for the Republican down there, doesn't matter. In two of the three of these cases, in two of the three of these House Republican congressional losses, they have been beaten by conservative Democrats, big-time conservative, social conservative Democrats. The Republican Party is ceding conservatism in the South to the Democrat Party. You know, yesterday was a very frustrating day, as you know.

House Democrats ‘Deem’ Faux $1.1 Trillion Budget ‘as Passed’ - HUMAN EVENTS

Never before -- since the creation of the Congressional budget process -- has the House failed to pass a budget, failed to propose a budget then deemed the non-existent budget as passed as a means to avoid a direct, recorded vote on a budget, but still allow Congress to spend taxpayer money.

Un-fucking-believable.

:dig: <----CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATS

wondering how they would think that doing it this way, avoiding a vote, is actually going to help them? (haven't read the article yet)

What on earth are they thinking, even for political posturing? the same people that would try to exploit their vote on a budget are the same people that will exploit them NOT voting on a budget before this election? so what in the world did they gain?

guess i better read the article....?

We need to just quit getting hung up on labels.

I'm for balanced budgets, Limited Government power, originalist interpretation of the constitution, A strong National Defense starting on our borders, The right to Abortion but only under the most extreme circumstances, Peoples right to be free no matter what race, religion or sexual orientation they might be, our right to bear arms with in reason, and The idea that government is never the best solution to any problem.

What ever label that makes me, call me that if you must lol.

Whatever you need to make yourself sleep at night.

You must have lost your mind in 2008. Go dems, go Mr. Obama.

So does your comment mean that you are OK with the politicians spending money without an actual budget being passed?

Bush spent more. He and his fellow CON$ ran up 5 TRILLION of DEBT. 8 of the 10 trillion in debt passed to Obama came from Reagan, Bush I and Bush II. CON$ervatism and debt are synonymous.

CON$ervatives never do!!!

And every time CON$ervatism fails CON$ say it failed because it wasn't CON$ervative enough. The fact remains, no matter how CON$ervative the Congress was, as it moved farther to the Right, the debt got worse.

Now we have a Liberal congress (and have had since 07) and the debt has increased even more. That shows me that both sides are inept in balancing the budget and attempting to decrease the deficit. Do you agree? What would your solution be?

Take a look at the rate of deficit increase per year since 07 when the dems got in compared to any time in the last 12 years and tell me what you see.

A freaking J curve. There is no comparison between before and after 07 as far as spending goes, and yes Bush was president for 2 of those years and submitted 2 budgets to that Dem Congress, both of which they added significantly to before passing. That in no way excusing Bush for his part of this, just pointing out a little fact the Dems like to ignore. They did it under Bush 1 and Reagan as well. The Dems have never met a budget they didn't think was to small, and didn't spend enough.

So yes both parties have been irresponsible, But Nobody has ever spent with such reckless abandon as the Democrat Congress who have ruled since 07, and Obama. Not even close.

It is pure unabated insanity in it's highest form. Any sitting politician or Government official who does not immediately cease and desist supporting any new deficit spending, and support making the cuts and tax adjustments that need to be made to stop this train wreck and try and save something for our kids should not only be voted out, but our kids might look back and think they should have been shot.

History is watching us America. Are we going to be a lesson on what not to do, like Germany's Weimar Republic? Or are we going to Invent the way to get out of this mess, Because none exists, and be an example to the world like we should be. Why is it that it is now the Liberal Europeans that finally see the un-sustainability of To much socialism and too little capitalism, while we are running as fast as we toward that very direction.

Our politicians on Both sides will never fix this. Our 2 party elections every 2 years system keeps them always focused on the next Election. What they are doing now with all this spending shows this clearly. Rational people see that all they are doing is putting off a terrible problem for a very short time. When it comes back at us it will be exponentially worse because of these short term feel good measures.

You people who are for even more spending, and blindly support the Dems in their current spending spree and government expansion orgy. May think there is nothing wrong with what they are doing, but I bet your kids and grand kids will take a very different view than you many years down the road when you are gone and they are left living in a shattered shell of what used to be the greatest most prosperous and generous nation on earth. Turned to dust in a never ending goody grab of people voting with their pocket books and ignoring the warning signs in favor of their immediate needs.

Rome really is burning people.
