Yes, most allies are bigger than a few phone taps.
Spy on Australia, tap its leaders phones? lol wouldn't find out much, there's not much to find out.
All Washington would need to do is listen to talk back radio to find out how most of the population feel.
The politicians do what the People want, or get booted out of office.
