It has always been this way, it is this way today, and it will always be this way.

The leaders and political actors of these nations were their pawns. What they wanted was the world system we have today.

They wanted the U.N. They wanted Israel. They wanted the tension between the free market and the socialists.

It wasn't "big government" that stopped Nazi Germany and Imperialist Japan, it was "necessary government". We weren't prepared for WW2 and had to ramp things up after Pearl harbor. Then we decreased the size of the government after they were defeated, until the Soviets became a threat.
