Reminds me of a friend who plays unreal, he once fought a guy named 8 million jews or something like that so when you killed him it said 'you killed 8 million jews'

Was hitler a christian, cause i read some quotes of his and was really surprised, because i have heard people call him an atheist...

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter."

just really surprised, cause I seriously thought he was an atheist or something before this...
Hitler Used the "German Christians" in the early years (before 1936) to try and gain power and gain more power...it worked.

But, when the German Christians disliked where Nazism was going they turned on Hitler in 1936...Hitler then spent the rest of his peace time years trying to get as many Germans to leave the churches of Germany as possible.

Millions of Germans left Christianity by Hitler's charisma...a false prophet, that's what Hitler was.

Approximately 2.68 million Christians left the churches during Hitler's Germany.

Kirchenaustritt was an option that existed before Nazism, but that Hitler approved of and encouraged, in 1939 alone, 480,000 Germans left the church.

Hitler was a paranoic sociopathic personality with enormous charisma.

His religion, his philosophy, his daily habits are irrelevant.

Would an atheist or secularist issue the rallying cry of 'God with Us'?

(Worn by all branches of the Nazi army except for the Waffen SS)

Or have church upon his coins?

Or write in Mein Kampf:
"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord."

Or speak the words

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.

-Adolf Hitler, in a speech on 12 April 1922 (Norman H. Baynes, ed. The Speeches of Adolf Hitler, April 1922-August 1939, Vol. 1 of 2, pp. 19-20, Oxford University Press, 1942)

??

Hitler idolized Martin Luther (the same Martin Luther who led the Reformation, called for the death of the Jew, and declared Reason the enemy of faith)

Yet he dealt mostly with the Catholics

Hitler was a Christian

Hitler.Christ almighty, Hitler died for your sins? 01' and 04' were LOW water marks in my life, either way ironically. I mean that. 01' with 9/11 sucked the cosmic wanger. But 04' sucked in ways that I can't even begin to relate, it was vile and hurtful time for ME. It's why I am here NOW. Howdy do.

Reviving a post from 2004 is no big deal.

The New York Times writes about the Nazis, Hitler or the "Holocaust" almost every single day, right up to 2009.

Hitler was an idiot for trying to take russia. What was he thinking?

First rule of war: Never march in Russia

Hitler's mission much like the mission of Moses was to lead his people. Much as the leadership of Hitler was disastrous, so to was the leadership of Moses. These two men have so much in common. Each had destiny, a chosen people and a promised land. To me, Hitler had Moses as his model to emulate. In the U.S. the image of Moses is a white bearded old man bring down the 10 Commandments. Nothing (in our movies the source of much American opinion) is further from the "truth" as written in the Old Testament. Moses was a butcher just like Hitler.
JB's previous presentation was incomplete. Whereas:"To deny the influence of Christianity on Hitler and its role in World War II, means that you must ignore history and forever bar yourself from understanding the source of German anti-Semitism and how the WWII atrocities occurred." is false. The falsehood is; " understanding the source of German anti-Semitism "
The source of his hatred of the Jews (why bother with anti-Semitism ) stems from their participation in WW I. The Zionist were rewarded with the Balfour Declaration and Germany was penalized for the war. Had the U.S. not entered this war (to save the world for democracy) the bloody war would have ended in a tie. By the U.S entering the war the balance was turned against Germany.
It is interesting to note that Arthur Zimmerman the German foreign mister and author of the "Zimmerman Telegram" was probably Jewish. In particular Zimmerman acted on the behalf of the "Jewish Settlers" to secure permission from Constantinople to build a technical university at Haifa in 1913. The classes were taught in Hebrew and not in German as first proposed.
Hitler bitched about a knife in the back. He blamed the Zionists for their defeat. Zimmerman confirm the telegram was authentic. In the U.S. many thought it was a forgery until Zimmerman confirmed it as true. This united the Americans and insured the defeat of Germany and gave birth to Mein Kampf

Hitler was an idiot for trying to take russia. What was he thinking?

Hitler viewed Russia as the breadbasket and natural resource basin for the new German empire, as well as providing living room (he had some word for it). As long as the Soviet Union existed, the German empire would not be secure. Plus Communism and Fascism were ideologically imcompatible.

Russia was always the ultimate target for Hitler. It wasn't really a "mistake" for him to try to take Russia because that was always part of the strategic plan. He never really wanted a war with France and England, and hoped he'd get away with one more land grab in the east.

His bigger strategic mistake, IMO, and for the axis as a whole, was bringing America into the war. Japan of course attacked the US, and Hitler (though not obligated to) backed up his Asian ally and declared war on the US, thus saving the Americans from having to be the aggressor against Germany.

If Japan had helped in the attack on Russia instead of attacking the US, it might have made the difference. With Japan busy with the US in the Pacific, Russia did not have to fear a Japanese invasion and was able to ship her Siberian troops to the German front in late 1941 and early 1942, at a crucial time in the war.

Why Germany declared war on the US is beyond me. Probably the Congress would have declared war on Germany anyway, but its not that clear. When Japan attacked Pearl, Congress declared war on Japan, but not Germany. There were a lot of German Americans, and a strong isolationist attitude toward the European war, at least before Pearl. Hitler saved FDR from having to be the aggressor, guaranteeing full public support for the war effort aganst Germany.

The axis thus opened up a new front in the Pacific against Japan and a rapidly growing power from the combined Anglo-Saxon forces in the West. Not a smart strategy while the Russian bear was still fighting.

He murdered Christian pastors who disagreed with his views and wanted him stopped.

Hmmmm.....

"I was raised in one country but my father was born in another. I was not his only child. He fathered several children with a number of women. I became very close to my mother because my father showed little interest in me. Then my mother died at an early age from cancer. Later in life, questions arose over my real name. My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a reliable birth certificate.

I grew up practicing one faith, but converted to Christianity because this was widely accepted in my country. But I practiced non-traditional beliefs and did not follow mainstream Christianity. I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, smoking ganja and did many other drugs regularly before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and I embarked on a new career.

I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child. I became active in local politics when I was in my 30s and then burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office when I was in my 40s.

I had a virtually non-existent resume, very little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker who managed to draw incredibly large crowds during my public appearances.

At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy. I was critical of my country in the last war. But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country's economy. I had a plan on how we could do better. I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess. Mine was a peoples campaign. The atmosphere was right, and I stressed the negative. Exaggerated it to the extreme, feeding off people's negative emotions.

I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics and was able to gain widespread popular support. I offered the people the hope that together we could change our country and the world. I spoke on behalf of the downtrodden including persecuted minorities such as Jews, but my actual views were not widely known until after I became my nations leader.

However, anyone could have easily learned what I really believed if they had simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with. But they did not. Then I became the most powerful man in the world. And the world learned the truth. Who am I?"

History's parallels are so interesting....

Not authoritarian. Hitler's own words stand for themselves

Timing:his sucked

Japan had little choice. Defeating America was their only shot at securing lands that could sustain them at all. conquering other poor nations did little for their economy

We never gave a damned about 'Europe's War'

When Japan attacked Pearl, Congress declared war on Japan, but not Germany. There were a lot of German Americans
Including a growing American Nazi Party, although Hitler ignored them

Hitler was a national socialist. Those were his political beliefs. Those were his religious beliefs. those were the beliefs he placed above everything else.
