Gas prices are out of sight... and there is nobody to blame for it except ourselves. It isn't OPEC's fault. It isn't the fault of the major oil companies. It's our fault as a nation. We have plenty of oil we could be drilling for and pumping out of the ground. Yet, we don't do it. We haven't built a refinery in this country for a good many years. Instead, we allow the environmental crazies and the politicians who court their favor to determine how much a gallon of gas cost us in this nation. We give other countries money and beg them to sell us the oil we help them build oil fields for to produce it. We whine to OPEC every time they slack up their production. We bitch and moan because oil companies are making huge profits selling a product they are in business for to sell. We do everything except to attack the problem in a responsible and reasonable way. I think it's about time we started doing something constructive about creating reasonable gas prices in this country. Time to stop harping about alternative energy and all of that other politically correct horse shit and begin to address the problem in a serious way. Sarah Palin said it correctly, "Drill baby, drill."
