Heroes and villains of Health reform

In spite of the demonization from the right wing, Nancy Pelosi will come out as a hero in the passing of healthcare reform. In spite of all the intransience, obstruction, threats and egos involved, Pelosi has been able to hammer out a deal.

With this bill alone, Pelosi will go down as one of the most effective speakers in decades.

A Speakers career is not defined by approval ratings. It is defined by accomplishments. Denny Hastert was speaker for eight years and most Americans still do not know who he was. Pelosi will be able to show her work in hammering out the most significant legislation in our generation as well as Stimulus, TARP and the recent jobs bill.
History will not laud Pelosi for her popularity, but her accomplishments will place her among the top Speakers in 40 years

everyone knows who she is Rw because she is a fucking aggrevating asshole who doesnt shut up.....and she will be remembered for forcing something upon the poulace that was not a very well accepted bill....and IF the health care system in this country gets worse because of it....she will be remembered all right....and im willing to bet you wont be talking about her like you are now....

Obama is not a hero. The heroes are the people like a 90 year old Dallas area doctor who has cut his office days to two a week in order to put more time in at free clinics for the disadvantaged. The heroes are all the volunteer workers who keep the clinics staffed.

The villains are the politicians, including Obama, who use tragedy to try and score political points to aid them in shoving their agenda down the throats of Americans. Other villains are those who abuse the Medifraud system to make money even at the cost of human suffering.

You need a different definition of Hero is you think Obama is one.
