Heritage Foundation scorecard for conservatives

I think fiscal libertarians are fiscal conservatives.
Fiscal conservatives (i.e. neocons) believe that they can run the socialistic welfare/warfare/nanny state more effectively and at lower costs, while fiscal libertarians reject the premise that such a bloated, bureaucratic central authoritarian apparatus should exist at all.

I think we're just crossing up our terminology, yes what you typed is how I would describe republicans, but i would say republcians are fiscal liberals just like democrats.
So all this stuff about conservative principles from Perry, Romney, Bachmann, Cain, and the rest is all BS?

.....with this in mind....would you even consider voting Republican in 2012?

Yes it is all b-s, just like all the republicans who babbled about Clinton being a fiscal liberal than far outspending him. The same thing will happen with Obama. Each president will outspend the one before him, irregardless of party. You'll never see gov't scaled back.

If it's not Ron Paul, which it won't be, no I won't even consider voting for a republican.

It seems they were going for Neocon
Evidenced by Dr. Paul at 77%....Obviously not neocon enough for 'em.

I would call the good doctor a hardcore fiscal conservative and a social liberal.

I don't know of any other fiscal conservatives in the republican party, but of course Heritage has a diff idea of fiscal conservatism than many of us do.

"With each vote cast in Congress, freedom either advances or recedes. Heritage Action’s new legislative scorecard allows Americans to see whether their Members of Congress are fighting for freedom, opportunity, prosperity, and civil society. The scorecard is comprehensive, covering the full spectrum of conservatism, and includes legislative action on issues both large and small."

What possible votes could have been cast by Dr. Paul that causes freedom to recede when compared to the goobers that received higher scores?

It would appear that that freedom and liberty are only advanced when going along with the welfare/warfare/nanny state as subscribed to by Heritage.
