when they favor a $100 Mosin for their shtf gun, much less a single shot 12 ga. Man, that's just ASSUMING that you will have no enemies, which is completely stupid. Even without human enemeis, there are fleeing cripples on occasion, dog packs, rabid animals. So you BETTER have rapidfire and quiet shooting potential. So a properly set up AR, scope, luminous sights, home-built silencer and .22lr conversion total over $1500, so what? you can always sell it for $2000, due to the silencer being worth $1000.

if you put the same money into Mosins, could you make $500 on it? Nobody will CARE that you added luminous sights, scope, silencer, trigger job, etc. to a mosin. It will still be a clunk and they won't buy it from you.

In about a decade when this nonsense comes to an end, you won't be able to get ten cents on the dollar for those idiot guns. But people will still hunt, and that shotgun will be useful. That AR, useless for anything but killing people.
