Ideas for heath care..... rough ideas to build on and discuss
Video visits with nurse practitioners. More online chat for smaller health matters. Connections to apps that monitor health so nurses can record things like blood pressure, heart rate, EKG, etc. for some patients.
Group buying of some meds for doctors to dispense from office.
Groups with all major specialties and urgent care in one building. Reduce the need for referals and get faster care to prevent major issues.
More urgent cares instead of emergency room visits.
More nurse visits for home-care patients instead of doctor or hospitals.
More home-care for older and disabled patients instead of nursing home and hospitals.
Video online PT and exercise for home bound with ropes, pulleys, rubber bands and simple exercise at home instead of expensive PT visits and equipment where possible.
Online study free for Alzheimer and those with mental disabilities to exercise their brains and keep them mentally active.
Free book and video delivery with online orders for mothers with infants and elderly for self help information with online orders. Volunteers to deliver within a few miles and pick-up.
Partial pay of food delivery of hot meals and meals on wheels with food stamps.
More senior and community centers for elderly and disabled with bus pickup for day care and interaction with others, and support groups. They will have better health and fewer hospital stays.
Incorporate insurance “groups” so they have more coverage and choices.
More free or reduce fee clinics. It will reduce urgent care and emergency visits and costs.
Encourage businesses to open clinics in corporate buildings, factories, etc. where possible to reduce days off and insurance costs for the companies.
More options for certain preconditions including alternative, herbal, cannabis meds for some conditions through their primary and specialist and/or as added packages in some insurance coverage.
Require/encourage doctors to “cure” not just treat patients where possible. Some doctors just treat symptoms to keep patients coming back frequently so they can keep getting paid by insurance.
Give patients prices of doctors and specialists with a cap on routine visits per year so they can shop around and decide what they need most during the year. They can decide how much insurance they need to buy into and which doctor to use to spread they allotment further. Shopping hosptial cost for outpatient needs as well to save money as well. If they travel three mile more they might get two extra visits for the same price.
Better rating for insurance packages, doctors, hospitals, etc. so patients know what they are getting for the money.
Some cities and counties might have lower cost for business rents and medical insurance for doctors that reduce cost. Patients might be willing to travel to those doctors for non emergencies and get more service, less wait times and lower costs.
Let some insurances share or exchange patient referrals and costs in some areas and offer more services to patients where there are less options and fewer patients.
Coupons for patients that require special diets so they can buy the right foods, that would normally be more expensive or only found in specialty stores, so they can stay healthier.
More park group exercise for those with certain preconditions or gym memberships like silver sneakers.
More options, including alternative medicine for those with major pain conditions to reduce addition and abuse of meds.
Doctor conferencing and communication to prevent over use of meds and better treatment of patients.
Control legal over use against doctors and medical hospitals. More mediation and limits on compensations.
Lower medical insurance rates to reduce doctor costs.
Lets have more suggestions and modifications. We can come up with a complete list and send to Trump and/or our congressmen to work on
