What's the difference between "indoctrination" and "education" then?

Kids are born with nothing. Everything they learn is "indoctrination"....

At what age does a kid really develop the ability to think for themselves? (Based on this forum I'd say it's beyond 100 years old for the norm)

So basically, what I've said all along about the GOP and republicans has been right. The country is in the mess it is because while the counterculture has grown since the 60s, republicans have sat on their fat asses believing it was just a phase, and they just laid low hoping it would blow over because they didn't want to risk any negative impact on themselves.

So, you are losing the culture wars. Big deal! Maybe America is general is just not as hateful as those on the right. So, you get stuck on issues, rather than culture wars. So what? Republicans used to stand for something other than who they hate. They used to support issues beyond hate your neighbor if different than you. They used to support good governance instead of us against them mentality. It is not too late. Your party could go back into the governance business, for the good of the country. It's up to you guys to pick what you stand for.
