I've heard a lot of people say "the reps have done nothing to help with jobs but obstruct obama" and i've heard others respond to this claim "you are lying"

Well I think the Republicans have tried to pass bills to help the economy and jobs. Why do I think this? I think this because I actually researched what bills the republicans have passed out of the house. The majority of these are stalled in the Democrat senate.

ALL THESE CAN BE VERIFIED HERE http://www.house.gov/

Rep Bills That Empower Small Business Owners
Small business owners are being bogged down by burdensome regulations from Washington that prevent job creation and hinder economic growth. We must remove onerous regulations that are redundant, harm small businesses, and impede private sector investment and job creation.

Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act
H.R. 1633 - Senate has taken no action to date

Rep Bills to Try and Fix Fix The Tax Code To Help Job Creators
America’s tax code has grown too complicated and cumbersome. We need a tax code that is flatter, fairer, and simpler to ensure that everyone pays their fair share, lessen the burden on families, generate economic expansion, and create jobs by making America more competitive.

Small Business Paperwork Mandate Elimination Act
H.R. 4 - Signed into law by the President on April 14, 2011

3% Withholding Rule Repeal
H.R. 674 - Signed into law by the President on November 21, 2011

Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act
H.R. 3630 - Senate has taken no action to date

Rep Bills Aimed At Increasing Competitiveness for U.S. Manufacturers
The more that American businesses export, the more they produce. The more businesses produce, the more workers they need. This means job creation. Expanding market access for U.S. made products will be a shot in the arm for businesses small and large and will create jobs.

U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement Implementation Act
H.R. 3078 - Signed by the Preisdent on October 21, 2011

U.S.-Panama Trade Promotion Agreement Implementation Act
H.R. 3079 - Signed by the Preisdent on October 21, 2011

Southeast Arizona Resource Utilization & Conservation Act
H.R. 1904 - Senate has taken no action to date

Rep Bills to Encourage Entrepreneurship and Growth
America has historically been on the cutting edge of innovation and technological development, but we are increasingly falling behind our global competitors. We must make it easier for existing businesses to grow and allow more start-up companies to flourish.

The America Invents Act
H.R. 1249 - Signed into law by the President on September 16, 2011

Veterans Opportunity to Work Act
H.R. 2433 - Signed into law by the President on November 21, 2011

Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act
H.R. 3012 - Senate has taken no action to date

Rep Bills Maximize Domestic Energy Production
The energy sector is crucial to our economic growth, and high energy costs have a major impact on job creation. We need policies that allow us to harness our abundant supply of natural resources in America, develop new sources of energy, and create jobs here at home.

Restarting American Offshore Leasing Now Act
H.R. 1230 - Senate has taken no action to date
Putting the Gulf of Mexico Back to Work Act
H.R. 1229 - Senate has taken no action to date

North American-Made Energy Security Act
H.R. 1938 - Senate has taken no action to date

Pay Down America's Unsustainable Debt Burden by Passing an Actual Budget!
The federal government is spending and borrowing so much that the United States will soon go broke. Washington’s spending binge has put our nation in debt, eroded economic confidence, and caused massive uncertainty for private sector job creators. It's time to live within our means.

Budget for Fiscal Year 2012
H.Con.Res. 34 - Senate has not yet considered a budget of its own

Thanks for the clarity, Pilgrim.

Unfortunately this thread will either be ignored, given the usual "nuh-unh", or peppered with useless charts and graphs.

You've posted only a small portion of the bills that have been passed by Congress but have just been stacked on Harry Reid's desk.

The Rdeans of the board are quick to scream, "I thought you elected the Repubs to fix the job market, but they haven;t done anything", ignoring the fact that Congress can't do anything ALONE.

Not much longer.
When the R's outnumber the D's in the Senate shit will begin to get done.
:clap2:

To be fair a few that I listed did pass the senate and get signed by obama (and i stated that under each bill), but that is less than 10% of the bills the reps have passed to try and help the economy, jobs, energy, and other things.

I did a search just a few days ago and there's somewhere around just over 400 bills ignored by the Senate
I wanna say 438 or something like that

For partisan Democrats to acknowledge this thread would be tantamount to admitting that the Democrat led Senate is the actual entity obstructing the process.

Aw come on guys! It's easier to borrow a trillion dollars or so from the Chinese and spread it around building sidewalks and such to spur job growth and the economy. Dear Leader said so.

I see not too many lying monkey democraps wandered down into this here thread. wonder why?

That's because they don't' want the truth.
They can't handle the facts and truth.
You can't argue with them because they think that facts are opinions.
To Liberal Dem's there is not absolutes.
There for they can't be educated with facts. They won't accept it.

i'm not known as a big bomb thrower on the forum, the liberals/dems shouldn't be afraid to come in here and discuss it with me......then again I'm also know to keep coming back to the actual facts when people go off on irrellivant or innacurate talking points....sooooooooo :eusa_whistle:

They've helped.

Over one hundred Republican congressmen who voted against the stimulus, took hundreds of millions in stimulus money and created thousands and thousands of jobs across the US.

Do a "Google Search" using: gop congressman who took stimulus

Here, let me help.

Hope that helped.

So you can regurgitate the points of an old thread of yours but still can't muster the intestinal fortitude to admit that your holy Dem-controlled Senate has blocked any real reforms proposed by the House.

I didn't realize this was a thread about the stimulus bill...I could have sworn it was a thread about what, if anything, the republicans have done since they got control of the house AFTER the stimulus was passed.

So RDean, have the congressional republicans passed any bills to try and help the economy?

Poor little Deanie...

The topic was how Senate Democrats are holding up approx. 30 bills now that have been sent to them by the Republican House...bills that could be helping to get our economy going and put people back to work.

So what does Deanie chime in with? A totally off subject rant about how the stimulus was spent? Too funny...

And keep in mind the Republican House got all that done and over to a place on a dusty shelf in the Senate while also working very hard to dirty up the air and water we all have to breathe and drink. Gosh, they're a talented lot.

Well... that's what your addled libtard brain thinks, but take a crack at discussing the real facts once.

You liberals sure are a stupid bunch.

It's no mystery why the board libtards aren't in here with their usual CRAP, and it isn't going unnoticed either. There's no legitimate way to defend how the DEMOCRATS have been HURTING the economy. They have ALL, from obama on down, been ORDERED to RUIN THE DOLLAR by their puppet master George Soros...

When Republicans lost control of the Congress in 2007, the Unemployment rate was 4.7.

When Republicans took control of the House in 2011, the unemployment rate was 9.0.

The unemployment rate is now 8.5.

Just the facts, folks.

And if the Republicans take back the Senate and the Oval Office, unemployment will be back well under 8 within a year and under 7 in two. Progressive policy is what's holding this economy back.

We can't know that for sure. We can only know what has already happened.

If we assume that things continue to work as they have been working, rewarding the Democrats with continued control of the government is pretty similar to putting a gun in our collective mouth.
