About a month ago I had some serious pain between my shoulder blades that moved into my neck and the morphine didnt do shit.
But I'm sure you didnt know that because I didnt get on USMB and cry about it.

You are right, You need a very very, very good doctor who can interpret what's going on in your neck, and it may not be something you've ever thought of. My prayers are up for your doctor's skill and your improved pain management through doing what has to be done. This may sound odd to you, but your regular doctor may recommend an endocrinologist and a specialist surgeon who can work around organs, bones, and muscles in your neck. And that may not be right considering there are many things causing your pain. In the meantime, please avoid all stress, no matter how small, such as driving in too much traffic, ugly confrontations with people you love, keeping in mind that there is such a thing as stress from winning a lottery, winning a golf tournament, moving your residence to a better place, victories for your children or loved ones, etc. Stresses can come from weird places. good, bad and indifferent. Keep a positive outlook, but not too positive... I wish you freedom from your pain and any stresses that could be causing it. Keep in mind that sometimes, the sufferer is required to be his or her own best friend. Good luck.
