They are just articulating those differences.

If you don't like DeSantis' ideas, you can vote for Trump instead. Or vice versa, if you agree with Ron that America should take a firmer stand against guys violating each other's buttholes, you can vote for DeSantis.

My guess is he is trying to pry the Liberty University/Moral Majority faction of the GOP base away from Trump. The people who believe that dinosaur bones are a trick by Satan are easy prey.
