Harry Belafonte was a giant in not only music but in social activism. He doesn’t get enough credit for the influence he had in advancing equality for people of color. A life well lived.

lol why do people like to pretend fashion victims are being 'brave n stuff' when they do things that not only cost them nothing personally but are merely following a herd mentality the rest of their industry is peddling?

Other than that, RIP, he had a good voice. Too bad he was a follower of a communist and terrorist supporter who admired Stalin. Funny how few of these Reds ever leave the U.S. and move to Russia, their beloved ideological homeland, and the few that did moved back as fast as they could, same as that Black Panther who moved to Libya but decided the U.S. wasn't so bad after all.

Rest in Peace....his activism has often overshadowed his entertainment career, but he had one of hte best voices in the businesses and some of the best songs.

Hmmm. I wasn't aware that he was a racist. Too bad he didn't advance "equality" for all humans.

Whites weren't hanging enough blacks before 1970 for your taste?
Blacks make up around 14% of the population, but there's WAY more black on white crime than vice versa.

Lynchings back then really weren't as common as the Marxists would have us believe. They didn't generally occur unless a person (black or white) was found raping a woman or murdering someone or, in some cases, horse thievery.

I'll take that as a yes.
