SNIP:
Melissa Harris-Perry is clearly a member of the "blob of cells" brigade when it comes to her disregard for unborn human life. On her MSNBC show this morning, MH-P repeatedly revealed how little respect she has for life in its early forms.

At one point, Harris-Perry callously spoke of how much it costs "to have this thing turn into a human." H/t NB reader Ray R. View the video after the jump.

Watch as MH-P makes light as she accidentally breaks a model of a fertilized egg, claims there is no science supporting the notion that life in its early forms could be considered a person, and dismissively refers to that early life as "this" and "this thing." You really have to watch and listen to hear the dismissivness, the virtual contempt, with which MH-P speaks of "this thing."

Wow, she's just as sick and disgusting as that Noomi loon who posts on this board.

Oh well, once again, we have a liberal who shows just how loving, caring, and tolerant they truly are.

Funny thing is, they actually believe they are loving, caring, and tolerant.:cuckoo:

I bet she cares more about her dogs if she has any..

and this is what our kids are growing up with..

The most interesting parts of the abortion debate are the lies anti-abortion zealots put out attempting to turn religious mumbo jumbo into legal shackles on reason.

The Bible, for example, has few mentions of abortion and no mention of prohibiting intentional abortion - plus the Bible is crystal clear that life begins with "quickening" and not before.

The Constitution lists specific rights for people that the Nosy Parker-Meddler element have in some cases temporarily tortured into positions supporting delusional notions about life's beginnings that may yet produce hundreds of pages of law written by sexually inadequate men and bitter cold women supporting fabulist claims life begins with a twinkle in the eye.

The reality is that abortion has been a normal part of life for at least ten thousand years. The drive to criminalize abortion in the US did not begin with papist rabble - it began among people whose descendents can in general be described as "white trash", people whose belief was that if American women aborted, then the land would soon be dominated by immigrants, possibly Mediterranean types - or worse, the Irish.

Then came the medical community, doctors in particular. In the late nineteenth century the drive to limit access to medicines to people who could afford doctors began. The final triumph there came in the early 1950s when some medicines became "by prescription only" for the first time. The halfwits dominating America today from both sides of the aisle have forgotten (if they ever knew) that some narcotics were sold over the counter into the 1960s and throughout Latin America where people have better things to do than see some pill pushing asshole, narcotics could be had without prescriptions well into the 1980s.

The legal push against abortion got its second wind in the profit motive. Through history anyone could hang out a shingle and offer to heal others. As noted above, toward the end of the nineteenth century doctors began to discuss unionizing for the purpose of operating some form of closed shop legally excluding apothecaries, nurse practitioners and midwives from the "healing" arts. With papist populations on the rise, abortion was a natural target for these scum; states already moving against abortion out of fear of immigrants now had a fake moral justification, and the rest is history.

The final push came when the AMA defined abortion as immoral; opportunistic papists and tent show firebreathers went nuts on the issue. The stupidest people able to function in any culture understand the concepts right and wrong, and after law is involved understandings include potential penalties.

This would be kind of funny if there were enough rational people to simply laugh the filthy god damned scum who would violate both Bible and Constitution to inject what is in reality a cult of personality defects into law in the United States. Unfortunately the failure of US public education since the 1980s when federal funds began being hauled into counties and towns by the truckload means shocking numbers of Americans remember history as filtered through various political lenses.

In sum, anti-abortionism in the US was conceived in xenophobia, carried to term in avarice, and born in unholy moral fervor. These qualities are well covered in a paraphrase of Lewis's declaration,
The people who destroy America will arrive on the scene wrapped in the flag and carrying a Bible.
Jesus drove this sort of degenerate from the Temple. White trash embrace them. Neocons use them like condoms. Worst of all, fake liberal human potential enthusiasts go along with them or ignore them - anything to avoid confronting them.

The few of us who understand it? We're watching. And not in fear. Abortion is going to stay with us. Period.
