Happy independent day! Kinda went with a thud around here!

July 4th has came and went in my little tourist trap! Only sent two boats out. No evening trips at all. Fishing was not the only thing that suffered. Bars , restaurants and hotels did not have their normal crowd. The tourist bite never happened this season! The walleye catch is way down this year. This has cost my area likely hundreds of millions of dollars. Including my own wallet suffering. Perch mounds are already starting to form several weeks early. Hopefully the perch season will be better than normal and I can recover some income that way. Weirdest fishing season I have ever experienced. Hope this doesn't become a trend.

The people that normally inhabit this area are the ultra wealthy. Kinda recession proof around here. This place survives on the fish bite. There is no walleye bite this year. Makes it tough sledding for me when the walleye don't bite. They are on our scopes they just aren't interested in our lures. Can't explain it. Perch are mounding up hopefully that is a good season. The past few years we have had an emerald shiner shortage making Perch fishing difficult. Praying to have a good supply of those this year or my income will be severely limited.

Prices are astronomically high, compared to when Trump was in office. We are in this country together. American should look out for each other. The far left are deranged selfish criminals. They only care about themselves.
