You cant negotiate a one sided truce like this, what guarantees does Israel have that hamas wont break the "truce" at the earliest opportunity. What is needed is control measures that will place a heavy burden on the P.A. not to break the truce

Israel HAD a partner for peace-making when they cut Gaza loose.. And the terms of that agreement were quite generous. Egyptians were gonna cooperate in normalizing commerce with Gaza.. UNTIL --- Hamas fought the Palestinian Authority in the streets for control.. That deal was the answer to a lot of Gazan grief --- It didn't last too long did it?

In less than a year, Hamas tossed it away.. Now even Egypt won't deal with them.
