A few years ago I went to a Safeway in Virginia and the corn on display caught my eye, it was grown in Brentwood CA. a town in Contra Costa County, the County on the East Side of San Francisco Bay, and that corn was shipped out of the Bay Area and across our nation.

Well, the vast majority of natural resources and food is in rural areas controlled by conservatives.... so there is that.
