Actually it did work, it disarmed the victim and the vicious perpetrator ignored the law! The perpetrator was was a 35 yr old felon who isn't allowed to purchase or carry a gun. He ignored the law and purchased a gun illegally (which we see happen in places like Mexico and Venezuela where gun control is extreme) and carried it illegally.
The victim this 35 yr old sought out, a 71 yr old white man. The white man's crime? Sitting in a park while white!
Luckily the 35 yr old coward only beat the man, but the fact of the matter, gun control didn't prevent the criminal from obtaining and carrying a gun, it only prevented a law abiding citizen from protecting himself!
