Greenland unanimously adopts same-sex marriage
Awesome news for the 47 people who live there, 1 of whom is gay. Kidding.
"Days after Ireland legalized same-sex marriage by popular vote, Greenland’s Parliament has unanimously voted in support of legalizing same-sex marriage.
The Parliament of Greenland voted unanimously on May 26 to conform to Danish laws legalizing same-sex “marriage” and adoption of children by homosexual couples.
Greenland, with a population of about 57,000 predominantly Greenlandic Inuit, is an autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark, having voted for self-rule in 2008.
Denmark was the first country in the world to legalize homosexual civil partnerships, in 1989. This legislation gave same-sex couples all the legal rights of a married man and woman, but stopped short of allowing same-sex “marriage” and church weddings."
