Under Gov. Bobby Jindal's voucher program, considered the most sweeping in the country, Louisiana is poised to spend tens of millions of dollars to help poor and middle-class students from the state's notoriously terrible public schools receive a private education. While the governor's plan sounds great in the glittery parlance of the state's PR machine, the program is rife with accountability problems that actually haven't been solved by the new standards the Louisiana Department of Education adopted two weeks ago.

You're too late, the other troll beat you to this...

but I will try and get my panties in a bunch over it later

sure, I believe everything you write and your sources are gospel

:cuckoo:

you're worried about sources? too funny.

that said, feel free to prove him wrong.

let's use some logic.

in the state I teach the texts cover about 60% of the required curriculum. I think it's a Pearson text. 60% is about as good as you are going to get. Teachers must go elsewhere for the other 40%.

the classroom teacher has the option to NOT use the text for any particular state standard.

crying wolf there Jillian?

As opposed to the idiot liberal dumbocrat books, which teaches homosexuality, transexuality, beastality, atheism, false pollution theory, promiscuity, and volumes of completley useless information that would not be real world applicable in any capacity (you know, useless shit like dissecting a frog - because we all do that several times a day).

This nation is a fucking train wreck because of the ignorant idiot liberal dumbocrat and their immature, idealistic theories.

It's too bad conservatives don't control the texts book, because then we could swap dissecting frogs for balancing a fucking check book - and then maybe Obama and the Dumbocrats wouldn't have run this nation $16 trillion into debt.

And before anyone even attempts to blame the GOP - Barack Obama has added more to the debt in 3 years than all presidents in US history combined have in their first 3 years. He's also added more to the debt in 3 years than George W. Bush did in 8 (and he was forced to spend like a drunken sailor thanks to derliction of duty by Bill Clinton with regards to national security).

What do you care if LA schools go private? If your kid is in that state and a school uses books you do not approve of, send the kid to another school with books you like. Problem solved. See how easy it is when consumers have choice and the government stops its monopoly on affordable education?
