We already know why. The majority of Republicans feel college is bad for Americans. They don't want Americans learning or discussing. When Americans question, they question Republicans. GOP's in power means either a country that's stupid or not paying attention. And Democrats are finally paying attention.

How does that harm the country?

Well, we already know that 87% of lost manufacturing jobs were automated. That future jobs mean an education is a requirement. But Republicans are being taught that jobs will come back, which of course is nonsense. They've been automated.

So while the GOP base is waiting for those jobs to come back, the Party is attacking the institutions that actually prepare their kids for a real future. Republicans are jeopardizing the country and the future of the country. All to put money towards billionaires and stay in power. That's it. Those are the reasons.
