So in Minnesota, it is widely conceded that the Democratic governor is on the winning side. The Governor intends making the prosperous, keep themselves alive with tax increases to keep the spending flowing! Tax increases for the rich are proposed by the rational Democrats.

The governor is not up for re-election, but the legislature is next year.

    Reason prevails.

Minnesota shutdown prompts political blame game - Road Runner

The Republicans are demanding that no more customers shop in stores, or go the parks or other resorts. No more shopping for road construction materials and equipment will ever be allowed by GOP! It's on the record now! All state offices are now closed. No state service employees will be allowed to draw pay to spend.

Moody's bond rating service knows already that Republicans are bad for business and bondholders, aka the rich.

The Christ-Hating Republican Party, USA: Is Mainly Supportive of the Old Testament at best. Their judges try to hang it in the U. S. courtrooms. The Prohibition against idolatory got Jesus crucified--and that is the part they all like the best. Jesus was Jewish, unlike the Law of Moses(?)--which is Baptist, or Mormon, or something(?)!

Tax Collector / Gospel Writer Matthew recorded the story in Matthew 25::14-30, wherein the one servant double the talents, and the second servant doubled the talents. The third servant went out and buried it: Wherein in grew, no new talents. That servant allegedly caused a foreclosure crisis--even then(?)! The Household should have had income increase of eight new talents. It only got seven instead.

The next dismissable servant: Was then left only with four talents, while the rich servant got to keep ten. . . .unless they had to give it back, or something.

Wherein the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer: Then the system clearly fails.

Bond rating service, Moody's already knows that Republicans are bad for business. Rich Republicans already know that Republicans are bad for business. That leaves Boehner, Cantor, and McConnell with the Old Fat White People, Cavorting About Naked On Other People's Yachts--Dumping Substance And Other Treasure, Into The Sea.

That won't win in Sausalito, CA: And that is even bad for Minnesota. Boehner has no votes, and needs to court the Democrats. That is now his job.

Minnesota Republicans have to pass a budget. That is now their job.

This is a "careful what you ask for" situation. Both sides of the have been screaming that they hate it when their representative compromises and works with the other side. They scream and scream that they want their elected officials to stand their ground. Then when it actually happens they scream that they should have compromised.

All in all, without knowing the details of the Minnesota budget I can only speculate as to which side is right. If there is still wasteful spending to cut then Republicans are right, if there is little to no spending left that can be cut then the Democrats are right. I have no qualms about taxing the rich more, if as much spending as possible is cut first.

History shows that when the spending is taken away--then even foreclosures start to happen.

GOP is taking the spending away in Minnesota--and intends it all taken away: At least $5.0 bil.
