You sound like the success of the angry get off my lawn incoherence that thinks about "kids these days!!" all day long.
So I'm supposed to believe your unsourced pretty colored graph and not my own lying eyes and ears.

Gotcha.

The federal government has no constitutional authority to be involved with either education or healthcare.

I'm not a GOP guy. I wrote-in Ron Paul in the 2016, even though he didn't run. He still got 1 electoral vote anyway. Ha.
If the government wasn’t involved with education, the majority of Americans, like Republicans, wouldn’t know how to read nor write.
Considering what Republicans right now in the USMB, it’s questionable whether they know how to read or write. Because what they write is such nonsense most of the time.

First of all, your post was littered with grammatical errors, second of all it was riddled with so many fallacies that it is just humorous.

Are there quite a few uneducated conservatives? You bet, there are also quite a few who are more educated than you . There are also quite a few liberals who are absolutely uneducated dumb shits. There are also presumably smart liberals out there.

Bottom line, one's educational level is neither caused by nor affected by one's political beliefs, and it is ridiculous of you to continue to make that claim.

I daresay you consider me to be a conservative, and I am without question more educated and smarter than you, as an example.

I'd support nationalized healthcare if it meant I no longer had to see 400lb people waddling around talking about they have "health issues" as they stuff pallets of ding dongs down their gullet.

DandyDonovan
But bans on dingdongs as causing sugar addictions
might get replaced with marijuana use, abuse and addictions that
would be marketed in place of big pharm to make money for schools.

Don't you think people who believe in legalizing and marketing
marijuana should have to pay the health care costs and consequences?
And not charge that to the people who opposed promoting "recreational" use?

Liberals I know prefer to ban sugary drinks and promote marijuana
they believe is less dangerous or addictive. Go figure.

This is why I say to separate health care policies by party,
and let people pick their own poisons!
John Boehner promotes pot and he’s as Republican as they come.

deanrd, as long as we're still abe to opt out and homeschool or send our kids to private schools, I'm okay with it. Not morally okay with it, to be clear, but just passively okay with it.

As long as I'm able to opt out, I'm good. Ha.

Certainly people are free to make rules for themselves so long as others aren't forced to abide by them at the barrel of a government gun.

When you have republicans saying the college is bad for America, then yes, their political leanings do impact their education. Duh!
The truth can be brutal.

Yeah, I am horrible at grammar, Dandy. Seriously. Ha. I spell for crap, too, I don't even look at my keyboard when I'm typing.

As far as liberalism. Well. That's likely the most misused term in the entire American political lexicon.

As I said in the previous communication, as long as we're able to opt out, I'm good.

No one is saying that college is bad for America. What people are saying is that the liberal agenda taking over colleges is bad for America. There are still a few colleges where that hasn't happened and no one would say those schools are bad for the country.

Oh, I don't REALLY care about spelling and grammar errors, but when you're lecturing others about education, you damn sure better make sure you are on point while doing so, thats why I called out deanrd.

And as far as "hey I've got mine I'm good" goes, we do not live in a society where you are good because you can afford private school, you are still having to pay taxes to subsidize the lives of those who are not getting educations.

deanrd posted in another thread that
GOP oppose Education and Health Care.

If you are GOP will you please vote in the
attached poll, what are you really against?

Education and Health Care?
or
"Federal centralized control" of these
instead of managing choices democratically
by people and states more effectively?

Can we settle this once and for all
what it is that Conservatives/GOP are opposed to?

Thanks!

In his Republican obsessed mind, it simply doesn't matter. He just makes up crap that sounds bad to him and spews it. Truth and nuance need not apply in his world.

All I know is that the schools were way better before the Fed started meddling with them.
/---/ Today's schools no longer teach script or phonics. They stopped assigning homework because the kids don't bother doing it. The report-card grades are now 1,2,3,4 and if little Johnny doesn't get a 4 across the board the lawn mower parents are in the teacher's face with threats of lawsuits.
Yeah maybe in your area, but that’s not part of any school I ever heard of.
/---/ My area is NEW YORK
Why Aren't Kids Being Taught Cursive in School Anymore?

Anarcho-capitalist.

I support all of those things and more, by fully privatizing them...No involvement by The State in them whatsoever.

Gonna have to disagree with you here my friend.

We the people have a vested interest in the health and education of our fellow citizens.

The PROBLEM is, we have a system that just allows people to do whatever and then the tax payers have to foot the bill for the consequences of those choices.

Take education , for example. How many losers dicked their way through school barely graduating, or maybe not graduating at all and then just kick back and rely on welfare to make up for their stupidity?

You simply can not have a system where people waste the educational opportunity afforded them and then rewards them for failing in school. I mean come on.
You presume that there should be a social safety sofa for the layabouts to rely on in the first place.

Incorrect

I presume that the kindness of our citizens will never allow for the removal of the safety net that now exists. I myself would not mind letting the strong survive and the weak well, they can become engineers.
The weak can become engineers? Becoming an engineer was why I was able to retire at 63. It’s engineers who built this nation.
It’s engineers who take calculations discovered by scientists and turn them in to actual pieces of working equipment.

The next engineer I meet who is educated in any aspect of life beyond engineering will be the first.

Congratulations on retiring 3 years earlier than the average person is expected to retire though, I'm not sure that means squat but okay.

When Republicans say liberal agenda they mean teaching science over magical creation, diversity and actual discussion. All things Republicans hate.

It’s like the republican party platform in Texas when they said they were angry at schools teaching critical thinking skills to children because if children thought for themselves they wouldn’t listen to their elders.

When I posted the party platform from Texas Republicans on the USMB screamed liar liar it can’t be. But it was and is.

This is not the same party that started NASA and built the interstate highway system. This party is the party of evangelicals who says having a president who barebacks a porn star is fine. As long as he says he is sorry.
Yeah, sorry for getting caught.

Who do you think you are kidding? The Democrats are the least diverse most allergic to facts, most unscientific group around.

Oh sure you accept men, women, blacks, whites, browns, whatever - provided they agree with you on EVERY issue

As for facts and science , this message board simply doesn't have the hard drive capacity to contain a comprehensive list of all the facts the left completely ignores, nor of all the science that proves they are wrong on so many issues.

The education system went to hell when the feds took over education in the 70's. It's been an erosion ever since.

The only reason people homeschool their children is because they want to control them.

I watched Phyllis Schlafly, the mother of the conservative movement talk about why she home school her family. So they would only be exposed to a man/woman marriage where the man is the man of the house and the woman does what he says. She still believes everything is about the Bible and all you have to do is follow the severe parts and everything will be right.

Phyllis_92a890_6022849.jpg

Then someone outed one of her sons and she said she was very conflicted because she did everything right and still had a gay son.

You can't control them. Not really. And the less you expose them to, the more likely someone can take advantage of their lack of knowledge.

Look at her son. Gays have been hiding from Christian and religious violence for a couple of thousand years. But her son couldn't keep it a secret? He either wanted her to know, or he was taken advantage of by someone who knew who his mother was. Him knowing how deeply religious she was, I think he was taken advantage of.

And it's those life experiences that growing children will miss out on and not know how to protect themselves. Because they were isolated. Their parents don't protect them. They wound them. It's called "hamstrung".

That's stupid. The rest of the world comes to this country because the education here is the best in the world.

The problem is the GOP leadership knows they can control a base that doesn't know anything.

Look at Rick Santorum. He has three degrees:

and there he is. Stigmatizing education.

And why? Because Republicans feel that if people are educated, they vote Democrat.
That must mean, Democrats are incredibly good at mesmerizing people. Or it could be, colleges are teaching people how to think for themselves.
So if Democrats are so good at mesmerizing people, why is there Trump?
That must mean, people vote Democrat because kids were taught to look at facts and decide for themselves.

Here is something for you to compare other countries to our own. This isn't emotion this is fact,
Our federal education is failing and this shows it. It isn't some emotional platitude as some try to pawn off as fact
