GOP needs to focus on jobs economy for the next two years WashingtonExaminer.com

So they need to show the American people that when they’re running the government, they get things done. For the past six years, politicians on both sides of the aisle have been talking about jobs and the economy (Obama has said he would “pivot” to these issues two dozen times), but always seem to get sidetracked by the issue du jour.
If Republicans can maintain a near laser-like focus on jobs and the economy (that’s not to say they can’t deal with other important issues like fixing Obamacare, immigration or dealing with the Islamic State), they could improve their chances in 2016.
What I’m saying is that they need to stay away from partisan social issues they know the Democrats will vote against and that Obama will veto anyway.
Seriously, GOP, take it from someone in a constituency you don’t do well with in presidential elections (unmarried female millennial). Continuously focusing on social issues over jobs is nauseating.
Now, I know there are a lot of Republicans — even young female Republicans — who are social conservatives, but jobs and the economy are still the top issues.
