No, any "effective" ethics office would have had their HR department working double shifts replacing the staff that mysteriously disappeared, resigned, left the country or expired courtesy of HRC's goon squad.

It looks worse than it actually is, most likely. However, it is pretty damned suspect that the Republicans got behind closed doors on a holiday and pulled this together. What do they think they're up to?

You want to compare, even their New Years messages? Stump can't help but be a jerk in everything he does.

Their idea of "draining the swamp' is to allow the repubs do get away with whatever they want to do. They will pay!

Supporting ISIS, among other things, hardly renders one "scandal-free".

If you believe it's wrong for Obama's government, why is it alright for Trump's government to get away with it? Of course, there doesn't HAVE to be an independent Ethics Commission in order to unearth scandal and wrong doing. However, it smells to the high heaven and justifying it by pointing to what you perceive as wrong doing in the last administration doesn't fly. The election is over. The votes are cast. Now come up with some GOOD reasons for what the Republicans are doing by gutting the Ethics Commission.

    1) Trump as yet has no government.

    2) Please illustrate where in Trump's Not-Yet-Government one can find support for ISIS.

No worries, nobody votes Republican anymore. Only a Dim thinks it's necessary to have a government agency for morals. LOL.

Better yet, why keep it? That's the way all agencies should be approached.

They were the reason that office was created. No wonder they want to get rid of it.
