The independent Office of Congressional Ethics, launched in 2008 to address concerns that the lawmaker-run House Ethics Committee failed to adequately police members of Congress, now would be subject to oversight by the House Ethics Committee, under the proposed rules package adopted by Republican lawmakers. The new rules also would bar investigators from reviewing anonymous complaints against lawmakers.

If you believe it's wrong for Obama's government, why is it alright for Trump's government to get away with it? Of course, there doesn't HAVE to be an independent Ethics Commission in order to unearth scandal and wrong doing. However, it smells to the high heaven and justifying it by pointing to what you perceive as wrong doing in the last administration doesn't fly. The election is over. The votes are cast.
