Going back in time to sails

Except once you've made a solar panel or a windmill, it keeps generating power for years, as opposed to a fossil fuel, which burns up and it's done.

Not sure where you get that from. I passed by some windmill farms that have been running for years.
Yes, solar panels last years

Modern fossil plants will last a century, Nuclear power plants will last a century.

Yes, you need billions of solar plants and a fossil fuel industry to endlessly produce them, to replace them, and you need to cover the entire earth then curb your use of electricity to sunny days.

Solar panels are a failed technology to run a modern economy.

Likewise, none of those daffy windmills will ever break even, generating the costs of putting them in place.

That is right, they run for years, not decades. We also need so many windmill farms, that you pass by them. Whereas I have not passed and fossil fuel plant or nuclear power plant in years, they are so powerful that we need very few, next to nothing, when compared to wind turbines.

The wind turbines you passed, were not first or second generation wind turbines, they were 3rd or 4th generation. Wind Turbines last so few years, they are constantly replaced with the new technology.

And what is the new technology that Wind Turbines utilize, what has the science given us in regards to wind turbine technology when the 1st and 2nd generation wind turbines failed.

The science gave us a marvel, a wonder, the science engineered, MAKE BIGGER

yep, that is the technology behind green energy failing, just make more and make them bigger as fast as heavy industry can produce them.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with the false claim you made about the enviroloon goofball source you cited.

You do realize that oceans of hydrocarbons have been found on other planets and moons, where no organic anything has ever existed, right?
Well, that would be awesome if it were true, if we had a practical way of getting to them.

You need to stop sucking up to Big Oil.

They are not your friend.

you need an education, you have no idea what you are talking about

solar and wind energy is a product of big oil, period, no larger market than solar and wind for the chemicals that big oil sells, so much so, that the price tag is $300 trillion!!!!!

interesting that you think that people who eat fruits and vegies do not like meat.
It's aimed at the alarmists and vegans that believe just eating avocados etc.. creates no co2, when most fruit and veg (f&v) is shipped and flown around the globe. Here in the UK, I would say most f&v is imported.

It doesn't have to be that way ... shipping in f&v is cheaper ... we could easily feed ourselves here but buying from California is still cheapest ... Iowa grows corn for pigs and cattle ... not humans ... because f&v from California is cheaper there too ... more profit raising meat ...

All I can do is look at Google Earth ... and from way above, it does looks like the UK has plenty of farm land, plenty of labor, plenty of water ... don't you have coal and crude oil? ... why import anything? ...

Eventually, fossil fuels ARE going to run out.

True ...

However ... we are still proving reserves faster than we're burning it ... everyday we have more "fuel-in-hand" ... some of us are old enough to remember the Peak Oil Scare back in the 1990's ... well, that's hasn't happened yet and we may indeed be centuries away from that time ...

That's kinda awesome ... look how much fossil fuels we're using right now and yet still we're finding more ... everyday ... and even when we reach Peak Oil, we'll have butt-loads for proven reserves ... enough to last (perhaps) centuries more ...

BUT ... someday, every carbon atom here on Earth will be chemically bonded to two oxygen atoms ... just how the universe is ...

UK used to have coal mines, but it's cheaper to import because of our red tape, minimum wages, union strikes etc.. Drive around here, not many animals in fields and very few crops. The likes of the EU used to pay farmers to let fields over grow to provide natural habitat.

Then everything is shipped, flown, and driven in, and the alarmists scream, "Stop producing co2 you co2 deniers", and the government rubs their hands and introduced and ups appropriate taxes.

Wind turbine blades are dreadful for the environment, so let's start putting the same stuff on ships because of naughty diesel, that still has to be there on a ship.
