God Bless George W. Bush For Marginalizing The U.N.

Nothing changes the fact that the demonic U.N. has been marginalized by the Decider. It was revealing when Venezuelan president Chavez made jokes about smelling sulfur where George Bush previously sat. It revealed the UN for what it really is, a platform for 3rd world shithole country dictators to whine about the U.S. while they oppress their own people and put political dissidents in jail. Chavez didn't make a mockery out of the UN, he confirmed what a mockery it already was.

I'm calling Bull Shit. How come President Bush, if he marginalized them, had to negotiate a new SOFA with Iraq after the UN's mandate for the occupation mission expired at the end of 2008. Why did he even have to have mandate from the UN in the first place? He certainly started the invasion and occupation without the UN.
His mandate was from Congress. Now you know.

Then why did he ask the UN for a mandate?

The rest of the story.

Multinational Force Mandate Renewal

For the US the UN is a great tool. Disregard it when we want, use it when we want.

Your view of history is skewed by your Leftist mental disease. Bush was trying to build a coalition and worked with anyone who was willing to take part in the war on terror and bring the fight to the enemy where they were. The UN, corrupt and incompetent as they were, got in the way, so in frustration, Bush brushed them aside.

And they remain to this day brushed aside. God bless the 43rd president of the United States

Since you didn't answer the question you display a lack of historical knowledge about the UN Mandate and how President Bush was forced to negotiate the 2008 SOFA by Iraq. But do keep dishing out your meaningless platitudes.
Actually it was your ignorance I wasn't responding to, not seeing the need to make you out to be stupid. Bush wasn't forced to do anything with the UN. And you've done nothing to refute the main OP point that the UN is now far less relevant on the world stage, something even the Leftist media has acknowledged.

"For the US the UN is a great tool. Disregard it when we want, use it when we want....."

AS WE SHOULD

Now if we can only get european socialists, marxist totalitarians, and third world shitholes to pay their "fair share" of comittments......
Yes. Or disband it and send the pygmies packing.
