God Bless George W. Bush For Marginalizing The U.N.

He hasn't gotten nearly the amount of credit that he should. Does anyone remember the 1990's when the United Nations stood by and watched a massacre in Rwanda? Or how about U.S. Army soldiers court martialed because they refused to be assigned to U.N. duty? Hate for this evil, godless organization waxed hot.

But today?

Today you hardly hear at all from them. The pygmies still gather in that building in New York, but they are no longer a player on the world stage because of George W. Bush. They fell into strong disfavor in our dealings with Iraq when scandals surfaced revealing their corruption in administering the Food for Oil program. When we were attacked on 9/11, the United Nations was pushed aside, an obstacle and a useless one at that, as a player in bringing the battle to the enemy.

Nobody talks about the United Nations. We've gotten to the point we ought to start considering that they aren't worth keeping around, that the brown pygmies should be sent back home and the building they occupy should be sold to the highest bidder.

The United Nations is dead, and George W. Bush killed it. God bless him.

Oh yeah!

That's funny because I remember a different President Bush saying

"we had been self-consciously trying to set a pattern for handling aggression in the post-cold war world. Going in and occupying Iraq, thus unilaterally exceeding the U.N.'s mandate, would have destroyed the precedent of international response to aggression we hoped to establish. Had we gone the invasion route, the U.S. could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land. It would have been a dramatically different--and perhaps barren--outcome."

Do you know why President Bush(43) was force into a new SOFA with Iraq in 2008?

Nothing changes the fact that the demonic U.N. has been marginalized by the Decider. It was revealing when Venezuelan president Chavez made jokes about smelling sulfur where George Bush previously sat. It revealed the UN for what it really is, a platform for 3rd world shithole country dictators to whine about the U.S. while they oppress their own people and put political dissidents in jail. Chavez didn't make a mockery out of the UN, he confirmed what a mockery it already was.

I'm calling Bull Shit. How come President Bush, if he marginalized them, had to negotiate a new SOFA with Iraq after the UN's mandate for the occupation mission expired at the end of 2008. Why did he even have to have mandate from the UN in the first place? He certainly started the invasion and occupation without the UN.

His mandate was from Congress. Now you know.

How tall are the pygmies?

This should give you a good comparison.
Looks more like domination by whites, yeah, it's the UN..
I have in my head jolly images of a herd of elephants storming through the UN squishing all the pygmies into little brown and red puddles. One elephant has already marginalized them, now they need to be finished off.
I am sure that if you put your hands together kneel and pray with zeal, God will grant you your wish..

Then why did he ask the UN for a mandate?

The rest of the story.

For the US the UN is a great tool. Disregard it when we want, use it when we want.

Didn't GW Bush hang his hat on the UN resolutions against Iraq to justify his disastrous invasion?
Yes. His plan all along was to push them out of the way. The UN was relevant before GWB and today it clearly is not. Even the media has picked up on their decline even if they don't credit the Decider for it.

Your view of history is skewed by your Leftist mental disease. Bush was trying to build a coalition and worked with anyone who was willing to take part in the war on terror and bring the fight to the enemy where they were. The UN, corrupt and incompetent as they were, got in the way, so in frustration, Bush brushed them aside.

And they remain to this day brushed aside. God bless the 43rd president of the United States

He didn't get us out of the UN or cut off the billions of taxpayer dollars that fund them and their bastard children. If that were to happen they would dry up and blow away. A job not finished is not a good job.

You're right. It's an unfinished job. I wonder if a Republican congress will finally do what's right and defund the UN and send the pygmies back to their POS countries.

Since you didn't answer the question you display a lack of historical knowledge about the UN Mandate and how President Bush was forced to negotiate the 2008 SOFA by Iraq. But do keep dishing out your meaningless platitudes.
