Gonna be a mess but this statement is why Britain's economy is always slurping donkey balls: "There’s no need for the UK to be a world leader, and no advantage from trying to be one. In fact, it would be far better for Britain to let other countries take the lead, and then install whatever replacement for gas heating proves itself the most efficient in the global marketplace. Trying to guess which technology will win out just binds our hands in the future." Those people really have had the spirit of innovation sucked right out of their marrow.
