60 minutes is likely full of crap. They attrbuted American motivations to the Chinese which may or may not be close to their real motivations. The Chinese have built at least one empty city here. Iowa I think. These ghost cities have been built all over China. No one knows why or why they continue to build them. Saying it is a housing bubble makes as much sense as saying it is for the aliens when they complete the interstellar journey.
