George Santos of NY - Newly Elected Republican Fraudster

A man who was 18 years old when he began dating and then moved in with George Santos—while the future congressman was married to a woman—says he was lied to, too.

“He used to say he would get money from Citigroup, he was an investor,” Pedro Vilarva told The New York Times of his 2014 romance with Santos, who was then 26. “One day it’s one thing, one day it’s another thing. He never ever actually went to work.”

One has to wonder whether the stories he said he was coming clean with were perhaps lies also.

Trading cards are legal. Better luck next time.
The disgraced Santos must quickly exploit his notoriety as the Liar du jour of the GOP to flog cheesy cards with depictions of a svelte version of himself in various super-hero guises. The usual crowd would quickly cancel their subscriptions to Bannon's "We Build the Wall" scam to snap up the phony's tchotchkes.

(Attempted whaddaboutisms are feeble attempts at deflection from the topic, so stop parading out Herschel Walker's numerous whoppers. They have no bearing upon Santos.)

He's just a typical american politician. That's my viewpoint on this nations political system. That's a major slam. Major slam.

... Biden ....

Santos is being investigated by federal prosecutors from the Eastern District of New York, the Nassau County district attorney and the New York attorney general's office.
His campaign finance reports suggest he earned millions of dollars in 2021.
"No one is above the law and if a crime was committed in this county, we will prosecute it," Donnelly, the Republican district attorney in Nassau County, said in a statement last week.
Brazilian authorities told The New York Times on Monday they will revive fraud charges related to a 2008 incident involving a stolen checkbook. The case had been suspended because police were unable to locate Santos, according to the Times.
Thus far, the strategy of the self-confessed fraud's defenders appears to consist of

Nice try to make it like he's the only politician to embellish his resume.

Not happening, oxygen thief.

This embarrassment to the Republican Party already has the jump on his disdainful compadres.

Rep.-elect George Santos (R-NY) posted a press release saying he was sworn in as a member of the House of Representatives by the speaker of the House. The only problem is, there currently is no speaker of the House and thus no one was sworn in on Tuesday.
It's very reminiscent of the Trump administration where you really can't quite believe allegedly professional men and women are doing these sorts of things.

It's going to be funny as he got sworn in because McCarthy wanted his vote and in the end, it's going to be meaningless.

I imagine he will step down for some reason or another after the votes finally end.

Headline in the offing:

George Santos, Disgusted with the Laughable Incompetence of Republicans
in the 118th Congress, Resigns to Preserve his Personal Integrity.

"Not even all the desperate attempts at diversion can save me the embarrassment,"
he huffed as he tootled off to his private Learjet to take him back to Queens.

That's been true of the Democrat party ever since I can remember.

I doubt he's going to step down. Did Ilhan Omar step down for marrying her brother? That's a felony.
