Freedom

Yea, I guess if you consider Death and malnourishment NON-Consequence, lol.

Are consequences to be figured in when considering full freedom?

A consequence is what you pay, for doing something. Paying = / Free. (does not equal).

ETA, like I said, full freedom cannot exist. Really, it can't.

And especially in a Humanistic sense.

Agreed, true freedom cannot exist.

Great Britain's Socialists have turned them into a "Surveillance Society" at this point. A report in 2007 by Privacy International placed Great Britain in the bottom five countries for its record on privacy rights and surveillance. They are now on par with Singapore in terms of limiting their people's freedoms and rights. Looks like Great Britain has a very good chance of catching China on the list. Lets not follow Great Britain's lead and allow our Socialists here to take our country away from us. Get involved and vote out all Socialists. You can be heard.

It also would require voting out all conservatives.

Sorry to hear that G.T. Looks like NY has allowed their Socialists to get out of control. Next they will want to come into your home to make sure you're following all Global Warming protocols. Global Warming Gestapos really aren't all that far-fetched. It's beginning to happen in Western European nations like Great Britain. Socialism/Communism only encourages the erosion of peoples' Freedoms & Liberties. What more do people need to know? I'm still surprised that so few get it. Hopefully this will change before it's too late to turn back. I guess we'll see.

Perhaps Global Warming Warrants further debate; however, let's look at a hypothetical:

What if you were a Politician who believed? Do you Champion the cause so-as to preserve the Earth, which obviously will infringe on Freedoms but so does LIFE ITSELF, or do you just say fuck it? Just a hypothetical predicated on "if you were convinced." Let's hear it:

Lets also erradicate child welfare services. How dare they interfere with my right and freedom to raise my childrne as I see fit.

Another hypothetical:

If Jimmy C.I.A., in order to preserve and protect the life of the citizens, must use Surveilance: Which Liberty do you prefer? Privacy, or Life? If there were a choice such as disrupting terrorist plots, which do you prefer is sacrificed?

Just don't let anyone at the airport see my thingy on the big screen!

In fact the same phony Leftists who screeched 24/7 about the Patriot Act,just quietly voted to extend it. Why the change of heart? Hmm?

Another Hypothetical:

Let's say we all agreed to allow those who couldn't afford it Emergency care, but since that Emergency care isn't covered by the Insurance they can't afford, our rates go up and so do our taxes.

Which do you prefer: The taxes and Rates to stay up? (forced to pay), meanwhile, Preventative care isn't available and people continue to lose homes for Health care costs, etc.

Or, a mandate to have insurance (forced to pay), meanwhile, part B doesn't exist and said insurance, in theory, becomes cheaper?

J/w?

Was that "thingy" or "pinkie" that you were trying to spell? I understand you're embarrassed by your "shortcoming", but ease up.

Seems that someone has figured out a solution to the problem. He's developed a thermal image camera that when body heat is blocked (like by a bomb or a gun), the object will show THROUGH the clothing, because it will interfere with the body heat that is escaping, and it won't "see" through your clothes, but the things in your pockets, stuffed in your underwear, under your shirt, etc. WILL show up.

Personally? I think they should install them at all entrances/exits to airports and commercial stadiums and arenas.

They've also hooked it up to computers, and have figured out how to make it scan an entire crowd.

THAT is a good idea.

I am not one of those minute men, ladies always come first.

Requiring Citizens to have Health Insurance or be fined & imprisoned? Yikes! That's just another sad example of Socialists taking away peoples' Freedom & Liberty in the name of "We know what's best for you." Good intentions don't make it right. "We know what's best for you" is exactly what happened in much of Western Europe and especially Great Britain. Now their people have very little Freedom. Lets not allow this to happen here.

So the alternative is to keep forcing them to pay higher premiums and higher taxes without the mandate? Lose their homes because they couldn't afford insurance or were "risk takers," to subsequently be on the street, costing MORE of our freedoms when we have to subsidize MORE of their fucking lives?

Geez, I'd venture to guess the Mandate makes one's life more enjoyable and LESS restricted (financially, anyways).

I would advocate actually trying to target what's making health care so expensive rather than trying to decide who should be responsible for paying those expensive costs.

Well golly gee, that is one of the "targets" and why it's so expensive, and it is being "targeted," so good point.

The Government should not be forcing its citizens to have Health Insurance. That's just Un-American in my opinion. Fining and imprisoning your people for not having Health Insurance is just wrong. In fact it could even be Unconstitutional. Their Boondoggle would be a non-starter for me if they chose to leave that in. Hey just my opinion anyway.

You can be fined and jailed for no auto insurance so why not health ins?

Socialism/Communism promotes the steady erosion of personal Freedom & Liberty. It always perplexes me that so many still choose to support it. It's a very dangerous gamble at best.

Freedom is a beautiful thing and I was reminded of that once again today when I did a Chinese women a favor ( literally she is from China) and it was for her Doctorate studies. I replied to a topic in a blog for her. But I also criticized the government by saying that the nanny state has done a million times harm than good to the people. She having lived in China for 26 years up until the last 6 months thought that I could go to jail for such a comment. Wow and she still believes it is terrible after I assured her. You see this is what I want to avoid here in the US!! We must exercise our liberties or we will lose them.

At about 4:20 today I'll be excercsing my American freedom.

Assuming the cops don't bust down my door again, of course.
