Freedom

Do you need that broken down for you, or can you handle thinking about what it means on your own? I mean, I'll explain it in lamen's terms if you need me to.

Yes. Please explain how laws, things that restrict freedom, creates more of it?

I didn't even say that bonehead. I in fact said the exact oppisite.

Any and all laws are the antithesis of freedom, and also a lawless society is the antithesis of freedom. Freedom can't exist, so long as we are to co-exist.

In one statement you say laws are the opposite of freedom and then you say a society of no laws has no freedom so if laws restrict freedom shouldn't a society of no laws be the maximum freedom?

Do you think before you type? WOW. How in the fuck did you extrapolate that?

They BOTH are the antithesis of Freedom. That's what that says.

"How can they be?" I can explain for you, but learn how to read what the fuck is typed, huh?

Socialism/Communism does not encourage Freedom & Liberty for the People. That's all people should need to know when contemplating implementing such ideologies. Our Founding Fathers really did have it right all those years ago. I just wish more people would start understanding this.

Freedom & Liberty trumps all. In the end Socialism/Communism promotes the erosion of peoples' Freedoms & Liberties. Just look at what the Socialists have done in a country like Great Britain for example. Their Socialists like to boast about their supposed fantastic Health Care but what did it cost their people in terms of Freedom & Liberty? Great Britain continues to drop lower & lower on the list of nations experiencing true Freedom. They have become a Police State at this point. Their people are openly spied on 24/7. They have now even created a Global Warming Gestapo which goes through citizens' garbage to make sure they're throwing their garbage away properly. Violations result in fines or imprisonment. A Garbage Gestapo? Yikes. Socialism/Communism is a very dangerous gamble at best. Freedom & Liberty really should trump all.

The only consideration about the effects of policy our government undertakes is whether or not it promotes more or less freedom. Some of these enviromental laws, while might have good intentions, actually impose on our freedoms by restricting us in what we can do. Sometimes we need some restrictions but only when our actions interfere with the free will of others. Its like what Jefferson said governments are instituted among men to promote life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Anything else is tyranny.

In a lawful society: you are not free to break the law. You suffer a consequence, making the act come with a price, paying a price made it NOT free.

In a lawless society, you are only as "free" as the next-biggest-baddest hunter gatherer allows you to be.

Do you get it now?

Sorry to hear that G.T. Looks like NY has allowed their Socialists to get out of control. Next they will want to come into your home to make sure you're following all Global Warming protocols. Global Warming Gestapos really aren't all that far-fetched. It's beginning to happen in Western European nations like Great Britain. Socialism/Communism only encourages the erosion of peoples' Freedoms & Liberties. What more do people need to know? I'm still surprised that so few get it. Hopefully this will change before it's too late to turn back. I guess we'll see.

I did read the fuck what you typed and paraphrased what you said and you seem to have said two opposite ideas that are both equally true.

Now this part is generally true for a different reason "Freedom can't exist, so long as we are to co-exist." and that is when our actions interfere with the free actions of someone else then the two interposing actions prevent each one from occuring like my free will to walk north and someone else's free will to walk south on the same path as me. Eventually our two freedoms will oppose each other and prevent those freedoms from happening. This is the only restriction that happens and it occurs naturally without any laws imposed on us.

Well, it's true for the reason that in order for us to "coexist," we probably shouldn't be allowed to kill each other.

True freedom can only be attained if you have no interaction with another human.

Or if you swing the meanest club around.

Everyone will never have full freedom.

If you swing the most bad assed club around, and no human can control a single thing you do, you're still not "literally" free. Nature binds us to automatic laws of existence.

You are free to not eat or reproduce, etc if you want to.

Socialism/Communism = Less Freedom & Liberty for the People. Lets hope more people start to figure this out.

Wanting to kill someone would be like walking north in my example and not wanting to be killed would like waling south. Eventually the two free-wills interpose on each other and prevent each from happening. This is why we need some laws that protect our free-will as in the free will not to be murdered, rape, stolen from, and any other involuntary action imposed on us by another.

Yea, I guess if you consider Death and malnourishment NON-Consequence, lol.

Laws are not Freedom.

Are consequences to be figured in when considering full freedom?

A consequence is what you pay, for doing something. Paying = / Free. (does not equal).

ETA, like I said, full freedom cannot exist. Really, it can't.

And especially in a Humanistic sense.

Freedom is a beautiful thing and I was reminded of that once again today when I did a Chinese women a favor ( literally she is from China) and it was for her Doctorate studies. I replied to a topic in a blog for her. But I also criticized the government by saying that the nanny state has done a million times harm than good to the people. She having lived in China for 26 years up until the last 6 months thought that I could go to jail for such a comment. Wow and she still believes it is terrible after I assured her. You see this is what I want to avoid here in the US!! We must exercise our liberties or we will lose them.

Want to know why the lady thought that you could get thrown in jail here? Because Bush Jr. wanted to throw that one Chinese lady in jail as well when she was protesting during a Chinese visit to Washington.

Question. Did we have true freedom under Bush Jr.?

Great Britain's Socialists have turned them into a "Surveillance Society" at this point. A report in 2007 by Privacy International placed Great Britain in the bottom five countries for its record on privacy rights and surveillance. They are now on par with Singapore in terms of limiting their people's freedoms and rights. Looks like Great Britain has a very good chance of catching China on the list. Lets not follow Great Britain's lead and allow our Socialists here to take our country away from us. Get involved and vote out all Socialists. You can be heard.
