Freedom and religion are enemies.

Seriously, throughout history religion has locked people up, burnt them at the stake and pretty much dictated to a person how they should live. This my friends is anti-freedom and personal choice to the core!

Some innocent things a truly free person should be able to do if they so wish:

watch Porn
Sex outside of marriage
eating alot
Birth control
Cussing
Getting drunk
Smoking a bong or a bowl
Learning about reality through the scientific method or thinking rationally.
Wanting to spend the rest of your life with the person that you love(no matter the sex!)
Wanting to be the gender you wish

All things that don't hurt anyone else but somehow religion has a problem with. Well, fuck religion and if you're for personal freedom you shouldn't be asking anyone to stop enjoying their lives.

Rational thinking would show that if you'd think with your head instead of your backside.......you'd see how stupid your OP is.

Do you also believe that a totally free person should be able to live in the type of community they wish--say a community free of all that you list above? And, people who wish to engage in everything you list above can live in their own community?

Dumbest OP this month.

Besides ending slavery, promoting ethics and morality and creating equality and freedom, yes Christianity oppresses freedom.

.
the happy ending does not exist in the predominant scriptural religions and is reflective of their Spiritual wellbeing.

.

Completely untrue. Every free and civilized society in history grew out of a sound religion. And whenever good religion is lost, society degenerates into corrupt tyranny. (Please note the current candidates for president.)

A society is "free and civilized" in spite of religion. Never ever because of it. By definition, religion requires giving up freedoms and rights.

Religion has done none of those things.

And it never will.

You describe ghettos which is the opposite of freedom, either for the religious and non-religious. There is no need to separate people according to their beliefs. Surely, even you would agree with that.

All that is necessary is that neither try to force others to follow beliefs they do not ascribe to.

Believe anything you want. Just keep it out of schools, government and OFF MY FRONT PORCH.

None more so than those that worship at the alter of big government.

Well, with our government at least we know it is real and can vote in one that will respect our freedoms. God won't keep your food, water or air clean or give a shit about rather there's a pot hole.

Government is of the people.

Really, government is of the people....tell me again why Debbie Wasserman Shultz had to resign?

Wasn't describing ghettos at all. I was addressing the OP's list of freedoms. I was asking if a person was free to live free from all he listed. Introducing 'ghettos' to that particular list is a straw man since we were addressing behavioral issues and beliefs, not economic status.

... religion requires giving up freedoms and rights.

Concrete: Sure should potential murderers (=sinners) give up "the right" or "the freedom" to murder whomever they like to murder on every reason they like to do so. But how to avoid this, if every child of god (=human being) has the right not to become murdered?

What you say here has not a lot to do with reality or rationality. You say for example "Wanting to spend the rest of your life with the person that you love(no matter the sex!)" is compatible with "sex outside of marriage". It is not! Also in this case someone will suffer a lot. And I don't have any chance "to wish" my gender. I am male - my wife is female. She also has not a chance to wish what kind of gender she is. Also homosexual men and women are in very most cases - exceptions are only comfirming this rule - not able to change anything in their homosexual disposition. So everyone can wish a lot in such contextes - but physical reality and psychological realities don't care about. Or you say for example "fuck religion" - I guess this means "everyone has the duty to be an enemy of the people who like to be rebound in god " - but in this case no one should marry or to have a family (mother, father and children), because this concepts are pure christian concepts. The states in Europe stole this concepts from the christian churches and misused their administrations, because they liked to know how many soldiers they can steal from their parents.

The US Constitution should read : "Freedom from religion", not "Freedom of religion". Maybe it's a typo? Because religions shouldn't be free to do what they want to people.

So we should ban religion...or just the one's you don't like? How very Maoist of you. How'd that work out for soviet Russia?

Not ban them, you can't ban stupid. But have freedom from religion so that people can't keep shoving it in your face, it would be understood by even simpletons that the freedom on religion is not on religion's side, but on the individuals side. Like saying that your religion forbids you from serving gays, that wouldn't even be an issue anymore, religion is automatically on the wrong side, so shut up and either serve them or quit.

Okay, but now it sounds like you want to ban freedom of speech.

Who's going to enforcing this ban on "shoving in your face"? I assume of course, you're not referring to someone physically assaulting you.

Religion is a way of life. Homosexuality is also being presented as a way of life. Therefore some in both the religious community and the homosexuality have the same complaint. Stop thrusting "your" way of life in "our" faces.

David Souter, 1994:
Government should not prefer one religion to another, or religion to irreligion.

No to forget in this context, Nazi, american one: The belief 'atheism' is also only a kind of religion. So it's difficult to decide what's an "irreligion". And your antichristian pseudoreligion full of hate is for sure nothing what anyone should respect. Acceptable are only real values - not death and not destruction, not murderous nonsense and not empty hateful anti-statements.
