If the West wants to maintain it's principles and ensure America is a Super Power, we need MORE such stories. The higher up the chain the better.

The message needs to be loud and clear "corruption will not be tolerated".

The problem is as suggested, lack of media coverage. Police agencies know it is a problem for them if they go after high profile targets. Big donors run media and they will stifle a story, jobs will be tampered with and then charges disappear.

This cannot happen if America is to lead the West.

The people in Puerto Rico are very smart.

Each time that they have been asked whether they want independence, they have voted NO!!!!!!!

They know that with independence will come the usual corruption -- and the lack of democracy -- that one sees in many of the "independent" countries in the region (such as Nicaragua).

Being part of the United States guarantees them economic assistance that they would lose under "independence."
