A few days ago, Haqqani praised India’s PM Narendra Modi and advised Pakistan to learn from him. He had said that Modi tried his best to improve relations with Pakistan but after Pathankot attacks, all his efforts had gone down the drain.

On Monday Haqqani advised Pakistan, “It will be in the interest of Pakistan to allow, the UN’s monitoring team to reach Hafiz Saeed.”

Haqqani has been charged with using false rhetorics against Pakistan. A person has lodged an FIR against Haqqani accusing him of issuing a visa to CIA (US) and RAW (India) agents while being an ambassador.

A case has been registered against him under Pakistani Penal Code, for making a terrorist conspiracy against the country.
